The Greeting Farm Snuggle and Ian

Hello Friends! Good evening to you all! I made these two cards today and just now found the time to post my cards!

I think this image from the Greeting Farm is one of my favorite. Well, I actually have a lot of favorites but "Snuggle" is definitely one of them. She looks so content hugging her bunny. So cute! My goal for this card was to use a my designer papers that were in my scrap pile.

Hey. .guess where we're heading this weekend? We're spending 3 days in Disneyland! Yipee. Actually, it's my cousin's high school graduation party on Friday and the party will be in LA so we decided to make it a combined Disneyland trip! The drive to LA is about an hour 1/2 and my husband didn't want to drive home at night.

This is going to sound terrible but I didn't invite them to my daughter's graduation party. Why? Well, first of all. . .in this one family alone, the total guests would be twenty which includes my cousins, their wives/husbands and their kids. And. . .if I invite them, then I have to invite the others.

Okay. . .the plan for my daughter's graduation party was more of an intimate gathering of her friends and they were plenty enough.

Asians like to throw big parties. . .in Hawaii. . .my goodness, a child's first birthday is a grand affair . . almost like a wedding! LOL! There's too many family members that you cannot invite or there will be hurt feelings. Furthermore, Asian families are "close". . .we all stick together. . .if you invite one, you have to invite them all. Ugggh! My daughter was like "nooooo, I don't want a huge party".

I know how she feels. I remember one Christmas when we were still living in Hawaii, we had relatives that flew down during the holidays from the mainland US and my cousin called and said that she was throwing a small get together. When we got there. . .my goodness there were over 50 of us. Can you imagine 50 guest in your house? It was fun but a small get together is actually, a big together.

Are you from a big family. . .and I mean family that you see regularly? Not see once every 10 years. LOL!
Anyway. . .scroll down to check out my second card.

Card Details:

Stamps: The Greeting Farm Snuggle
Paper: Various dp, SU More Mustard, Certainly Celery
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: SU Ticket Corner Punch, Nestabilities, SU Heart to Heart Punch, Embroidery Floss, Satin Ribbon, JoAnn Brads

Okay. . .Check out the Greeting Farm "Ian". He is such a cool dude, don't you think? His surfer outfit is from the Wardrobe #2 set and Ian is from the Dress Me set. The waves on my card is actually a wave design from a DCWV designer paper. I just cut the waves out and layered them.

Anyway. . .stop by the Greeting Farm and check these really cute images! They're fun to color!

Well, I hope y'all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #23 - White Christmas

Hi Friends!! Well. . .we're on challenge #23 at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! This week is Sankari of Sankari's Sunshine Corner turn to host our challenge and she came up with another fun challenge!! Yipee! The challenge is "white on white"! Okay, this is the very first time for me to create a primarily white card. Well . .my card isn't necessarily all white but the front panel and the background is all white.

I used a textured card stock to heat emboss the stamped image. . .using gold embossing powder. I wanted the texture of the card stock to help the white card stock to stand out.

I've had this image for a while now. . .I had unmounted the stamp but forgot to label it so I don't know who creates this stamp but I can't tell you who makes this stamp. Isn't it a pretty image?

The little flowers are actually die cut flowers from a tin of "wedding" flowers. You can find them at the "wedding" aisle at JoAnn or Michaels. I thought they were perfect for this "white" challenge.

Anyway. . .there's less than 6 months before Christmas so it's a good time to start!! Stop by our challenge blog to help motivate you each week! Be sure to stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge site to check out the awesome cards created by the design team!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Card Details:Stamps: (?)
Paper: Textured cardstock, white glossy card stock
Ink: Versamark Ink, Scribbles Iridescent Paint
Accessories: Wedding flower die cuts, Gold Embossing Powder, Lined organdy ribbon, CB Embossing Folder

Photo of the Day

Daughter's Graduation Party

My daughter's graduation party was a blast! My daughter was really happy how her party turned out. It's funny because I worked so hard to clean up the house and the back yard and well, within an hour or so of the party. . .the house looked like a mess! LOL! It's okay. I think the next time I throw a party. . .I won't bother cleaning the house. . . .especially if the guests are primarily teenagers. Anyway. . .what matters is that everyone enjoyed themselves. I know my daughter had a fun time and I did too!

The photo above is my daughter with her 3 closest friends. My daughter has very diverse friends. . .one is Filipino who attends Berkely and is an intellect, the other is Caucasian who have so many things in common with my daughter, and the other is Vietnamese who comes from a very rich family and has lived in different countries. She also has another friend (not pictured) who was born and raised in Iraq but moved to the US 2 years ago. It's nice how such diverse group of girls get along so nicely together. They are all community minded people who are all part of the Key Club. I'm glad my daughter made such good friends who have similar values she does.

Anyway. . .I'm glad the party is over and I can get back to my normal routine! Whoohoo!

Song Dedication to All My Blog Friends

Happy Saturday! Today is a nice sunny day. I really love this song by Francesca Battistelli called "Free to Me". She doesn't have a music video for this song but this live version is pretty good. It's the type of song that lift your spirits especially if you're feeling unsure of yourself.

The second song below is again by Francesca Battistelli called "I'm Letting Go". Another inspirational song that not only has a good beat but makes you feel good. Let me know what you think.

Last but not least. . .remember Hootie and the Blowfish? Well, the lead singer Darius Rucker has a new song called "Alright". Oooh, I love the message to this song and it's a good song too! Darius really has transition to modern country really nicely. Listen to the words. . .it puts life into perspective. Tell me if this song doesn't make you smile!

Anyway. . .it's my daughter's party this afternoon so I have no cards or project to post today! Hope y'all have a wonderful and beautiful day!!

Hey, yesterday. . .I worked my butt off working on the backyard. My daughter's party will be an indoor/outdoor party so I had to clean the backyard as well as inside the house.

My husband hurt his back a few days ago so he couldn't do any heavy work so I had to mow the grass, sweep, clean, wash the patio. . .all in the hot sun. Well, when I was done. . .I worked on the inside of the house. . .just getting things ready. . .bought a few decoration, etc. Well, when I woke up this morning I felt like crap. I now feel like I've caught a cold or sun stroke or something. Ugggh! Today. . .I don't feel like doing anything but the show must go on.

I sorta can't wait for it to be over with. . .I know. . .I'm terrible. I want to get back to my normal life routine. I love parties but I hate preparing them.

SCS Sketch CHallenge - SC233

Hi Friends!! Hey. . .I participated in another challenge on SCS! Whoohoo! This was actually yesterday's challenge but I was too busy to create a card until later in the evening so I decided to just post it today. I followed the SCS Sketch Challenge - SC233. It was a simple sketch so I decided to play along!

This time II decided to create a non-cutesy card. I used the SU Hostess set "A Little Somethin'". This is the first time I've inked this set. I've had it for a few months now. My goal right now is to use the Stampin Up stamps that I haven't inked. . .which by the way is a lot!

Today is going to be another busy day. Gotta continue cleaning the house for my daughter mini graduation get together with her friends on Saturday.

My daughter and I rearranged my daughter's room yesterday. . .ugggh! That was a monumental task. . .she, I hate to say it, can be very messy. Her room was a disaster! I've been begging her to clean it but she kept ignoring me so I came up with the bright idea of rearranging her room. . .and it worked. She loves the way her room looks and I got her to clean and organize her things! Yipee!

Anyway. . .now to my card. I heat embossed the heart images with a cranberry colored emobssing powder. The leaves die cut is by Sizzix and I embossed the background with my CB embossing folder. That's about it. . .very simple.

Anyway. . .I'll try to squeeze in some card time later today. Maybe. . .I'll participate in another challenge!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Card Details:

Stamps: SU A Little Somethin'
Paper: SU Baroque Burgundy, So Saffron
Ink: Versamark Ink, Tim Holtz distressing ink
Accessories: Embossing Powder, Organdy Ribbon, Sizzix die, CB Embossing Folder, JoAnn Brads, SU Ticket Corner Punch

SCS Color Challenge - CC224 Again and Barlow Girl Videos

Hello Friends! I loved yesterday SCS Color Challenge so much. . .I decided to create another one using the same colors: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, and Summer Sun. If you want to try it out it's SCS Color Challenge - CC224 I even used the same SU stamp set as yesterday's card. . ."Dream A Little".

I'm trying to create more cards with floral images. I've been creating a lot of cards with cutsey images for the past 3 months or so because of my DT obligations and haven't had a chance to use any of my floral stamps. I can only make so many cards in a day so my obligations come first. I also want to make more elegant cards. . .something that can sometimes be a challenge for me. I'm drawn to bright bold colors and to use neutral colors, which elegant cards require, is a difficult process for me.

Anyway. . .I really had a fun time making this card. Do you see the ribbon going across the oval? Well, that is to cover up something I messed up. LOL! Initially, I had added dots and it turned out crooked. Uggggh! Yeah, it wasn't a design I initially wanted but it turned out okay in the end.

I colored my images with both SU inks and Copic Markers. I cut out the flowers and remounted them with foam tape to pop it a little

Are you satisfied with your card making? I feel I've been stagnant. I was looking through my SCS gallery and my cards are not that much different from 2 years ago. . .I do take better photos now because I have a better camera but my style is still basically the same.
Here is a card I made two years ago. . .okay. . .not too different from now, huh? I was still cutting my images from back then! LOL! I think I may need to create different cards once in a while. It's hard because it takes time to do something different and I've gotten into sort of a routine that I can finish a card within 30 minutes to 45 minutes which I love. It frees my day up to actually clean the house or pursue other interest. I'll try to work harder and do something different once in a while.

Anyway. . enough of my babbling. I do tend to write a lot. I believe most of you don't read what I write . . .LOL! That's okay. . I sometimes read back at what I wrote and it helps bring me back to where I was at when I wrote it. . .sorta like a journal. You should write more on your blogs. . .it's like a date stamp of what you did the day you posted your blog.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Card Details:

Stamps: SU Dream A Little
Paper: SU Parisian Summer designer paper, Apricot Appeal, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Copic markers, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Scribbles Iridescent Paint
Accessories: SU Large Oval Punch, Darice Rhinestones, JoAnn Heart Brads, Grosgrain Ribbon

Before I go. . .I wanted to share these two videos. . .both by "Barlow Girl". This first song is called "Never Alone". Barlow Girl is a Christian Rock band and the singer has such a beautiful voice. Their music are so inspirational.

I especially love the second song below "I Need You To Love Me". The song is so beautiful I wanted to share it you. Let me know what you think! I hope you love it like I do!!

SCS Color Challenge - CC224

Hi Friends! This is my second post for the day! I decided to participate in the SCS Color Challenge - CC224 today. I'm trying to make it a point to participate in at least one or two challenge each week. Here's the link to my SCS Gallery: Click Here

Today's color combo is Pacific Point, Tangarine Tango, and Summer Sun. I didn't have the Summer Sun color so I decided to use a similar color. I think I used Apricot Appeal. I'm not sure.

I decided to use the SU Hostess Set "Dream A Little". I really had a fun time creating this card. Hey. . .look, I didn't use designer paper. I'm proud of myself. LOL!

Hey . . .sorry, if I haven't stopped by your blogs to say hello lately. I've been busy with life. . .I try to stop by whenever I have the chance. We're having a little graduation party for my daughter this weekend and I've been cleaning up the house so I don't have to stress out on Friday.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Card Details:

Stamps: SU Dream A Little, Short and Sweet
Paper: Appricot Appeal, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango
Ink: SU Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Copic Markers, Scribbles Iridescent Paint
Accessories: Coluzzle Oval Template, Nestabilities, SU Word Window Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon, CB Embossing Folder

Simple Country Card

Hello Friends! Yesterday was my "official" start day of my diet. Ummmm. . .it went okay. I'm just getting a feel of it. . .trying to start a habit of eating 6 small meals a day and drinking 8 glasses of water. Ugggh! I tried. . .I didn't quite accomplish my goal for the day but I did reduce my intake so that's a good start. Not to worry. . .I'll get a hang of it.

Well I created this card this morning. It's a very simple design. I had colored the image a while ago and it has been sitting in my stamp folder . . .I can't give you the name of the stamp or who makes it because I already put away the stamp. I'm not in the mood to dig it up right now! LOL!

I colored this pretty image withmy Copic Markers. . .added the ribbon and the sentiment. . .that's about it. The image is already busy so I kept the rest of the card simple.

Anyway. . .I'll keep this post short. I have a bunch of things I need to do. My daughter is having a little party this weekend and I need to clean up the house, order the food, make a few goody bags. . .I'll do little by little each day so I don't get all stressed out.

Well, I hop eyou all have a fantastic day!

Card Details:

Stamps: Main Image (?), SU Designer Label
Paper: K&Co Designer paper, SU Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Old Olive

Pink Cat Studio Weiman Wranglers Digital Images in Honor of Ethan Weiman

Click Here to purchase the digital stamps

The Cowboy Ethan and Cowgirl Ava digital stamps can be purchased separately for $4.00 each or combined for $6.00.

Help us honour the life of Ethan Weiman by purchasing the Weiman Wranglers digital stamps. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation of Illinois as requested by Alicia & Dave Weiman.

On August 5, 2004, Ethan Weiman was welcomed into this world, and into the loving arms of his parents, Dave and Alicia Weiman.

On June 12, 2009 Ethan's little life left those same loving arms, as he was welcomed into the loving arms of God in Heaven. In his mother's words " Heaven gained the greatest little boy ever".

Ethan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in July of 2007. He was a brave, and tough little cowboy! Ethan loved Knock Knock jokes, balloons, and of course, being the true cowboy that he was - horses! His younger sister, Ava just adored her big, brave brother. We've designed the Weiman Wranglers digital stamps to honor the life of Ethan Weiman and raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

The following was written by Alicia Weiman:

"Ethan was “the bestest boy ever” - sweet, loveable, witty, smart, and a true cowboy through and through. Ethan loved to be outside with his horse, Questions, and his “little ass”, Ranger. Ethan was a sharp dresser and always wore a button down shirt, blue jeans, “seat” belt, cowboy boots, and his black cowboy hat. Ethan always had a smile on his face and could bring a smile to all of those around.

Ethan enjoyed many things during his short life here on earth - legos, riding the bus and going to school, swimming, watching cartoons and movies, playing the guitar and harmonica, playing dress up, going for bike rides and walks to the winery, hanging out with his friends, reading books, Casey’s taco pizza, and just loving life. Ethan was only here for a short time, but he touched the lives of many. May God Bless our Cowboy E!"

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #22 - Freebiie Challenge

Hi Friends!! Well. . .you know the routine!! It's Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge time and we're on week 22! That means I made 22 Christmas cards already and it's only June! Yay! By the time December roles in. . .my goodness. . I'll have at least 40 Christmas cards. Whoohoo!

This week is my challenge and guess what . . .it's a "freebie" challenge meaning you can create any style Christmas card. The challenge is just to make a Christmas card! How easy is that?

I provided a sketch if you need to follow a sketch but it's not the challenge. Be sure to stop by the Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge site and check out the beautiful cards the design team created.

I decided to use my sketch for this challenge! I used this very old Stampin Up stamp set. I can't give you the name of the set because I didn't have the label for this set. I just know it's an old retired set.

Do you see the designer paper? It's the SU Simply Scrappin "I Wish" kit that is retired. I wish I bought an extra set before it retired. It's by far my favorite Christmas kit. The colors are gorgeous and the design perfect for Christmas. The scallop edge, the berry design, dp and sentiment are all from the kit.

I actually have another card to post today and it's for a very great cause so please stop by later today and check it out, okay!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Father's Day and The Greeting Farm Cards

Happy Father Day, Friends!! Last night was a good crafting night. I actually created two cards in one day. Yay! I'm typically a one card a day girl but from time to time, I'll make more and save the extra cards for rainy days! I decided to just post the two cards I made rather than saving the card for another day.

Hey my diet starts today. It's not a "REAL" diet. . .my plan is to eat smaller portions. We're heading out to a restaurant for Father's Day and my goal is to eat only half my plate and save the rest for left overs for tomorrow! LOL! I don't care if takes me a year to lose 30 lbs as long as I lose 30 lbs one day. Wish me luck, friends!!

Okay. . .I decided to create a scenery with the Greeting Farm "Dress Me" Anya and the "Wardrobe 2 - Summer" stamp sets. The "Wardrobe 2 -Summer" stamp set is now available for purchase.

To create the ocean. . .I used a dp that had a water photo. I had this dp for years . . .it's a good thing I held on to it. . .it makes for a great ocean. The dolphin and the crabs are 3D stickers by Jolee's by You.

Design tip:

To create the sand. . .I drew 2 wavy patterns and colored them brown. . .then layered them. . .one is slightly raised with foam tape to give the sand a layered dimension. To give Anya's sunglasses a shiny appearance, I added SU Crystal Effects to the image.

I colored Anya with my Copic markers. That's about it!

Check out my second card. . .it's all about bears and babies!

Card Details:

Stamps: The Greeting Farm Wardrobe 2 - Summer, Dress Me, Stampendous
Paper: DCWV designer paper, SU Real Red, Brilliant Blue
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: Jolee by You, SU Large Oval Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon, SU Crystal Effects

This is the second card I made. . .this time I used The Greeting Farm "Oh Baby" set. I title this card "Bear Attack" LOL! Holy. . .that's a lot of bears, huh! It's a babies heaven to be snuggled by all those stuffed bears!

Design tip:

To create all the bears, I masked the bears. The stamp set comes with only 1 bear. Masking is a great way to create a scenery.

Nothing much else to the card other than coloring the images with my Copic Markers.

The Greeting Farm currently have a challenge in progress. You can win 3 stamp sets so be sure to check out the challenge. You may be the lucky winner.

Anyway. . I hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day!!

Card Details:

Stamps: The Greeting Farm "Oh Baby"
Paper: DCWV designer paper, SU Certainly Celery, More Mustard
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: SU Key Tag Punch, Darice Rhinestones, Making Memories Ribbon, Grosgrain Ribbon
