You can find the cute tubes at Creations by AR . . there are 3 types.

Clear Oval Tubes
Colorful Tubes
Clear Test Tubes with Cork

For my project I used the "Clear Test Tubes" for my Christmas project.

I decided to add dew drops into the tubes but a great idea is to add M&Ms but I didn't have any available on hand. I think the dew drops or even micro beads would make a great gift for a crafter. Anyway. . .don't forget to comment my post.

Be sure to comment the other designer's post as well. The winner will be announced on December 1st!

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C114

Hello Friends! Happy Saturday! Well it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again and Joycelyn once again came up with a fun challenge. This week's challenge is "BLACK, WHITE, and WOW!!!" that means create a card using black & white and only one other WOW color!!!

My "wow" color is turquoise.. . .duh! Not surprising considering I've been obsessed with this color lately. Last week I had cleaned up my craft and I found a heart chip board that I created a while back. I had cut the chip board with my Sizzix heart die, painted it with acrylic paint and added glitter to it. I didn't use it for one reason or another and thought it was time I use it considering I worked at creating it to begin with. I basically built my card up around this heart shape.

Nothing much to say about the card . . .I just added bunch of embellishments to the card such as lace, a ric rac, Prima rose, paper doily, ribbon, button, crochet thread and a punched border.

That's basically it for today. Hope you all will play along this week. . .stop by C4C and check out the gorgeous cards the crazies created. . .or stop by their individual blogs:

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C113

Hi Friends! Hey it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again! This week Joycelyn came up with another fun challenge. This week we're making a TRIPLE THREAT card! We want to see AT LEAST 3 of each of the following:

3 different papers (yes card stock counts as a paper)
3 embellishments
3 dies or punches

It seems like a lot of requirements but actually it's not. I thought with the recipe given, my card was going to look really busy but it turned out not so much. My 3 papers are the 2 designer paper and the white punched lace border. I actually added 4 embellishments, the blue trimming, blue ribbon, the snowflake sticker and paper doily. My die cuts are the white punched lace border, the rosette, and the circle senitiment. Yay!

I had such difficulties keeping my rosette together. . .it kept opening up but it finally held together. I used my Stampin Up stamp to stamp for the sentiment and a retired SU designer paper for the background.

To dress up the ribbon, I added a K&Co sticker.. . .that's about it! Fun stuff! Anyway. . .hope you all will play along with us this week. Stop by the C4C blog and check out the beautiful cards the crazy gals created or stop by their individual blogs:

Shabby Chic Pink Card

Hello Friends! I'm still in the middle of cleaning, decluttering and destashing but I took a little time yesterday to create a card. While cleaning and decluttering my craft room, I gathered a lot of embellishments that I had removed from their packages or ones I created myself but for one reason or another did not use on a project and had thrown into a basket. Rather than returning the items into their package, I just sort of throw them in a basket and they've been piling up. I decided to work with some of them and add them to my card.

It's fun to find little treasures when cleaning up and actually creating something with them.

I made the fabric flower a while back but never used it for a project. As I was looking through my basket of embellishment, I decided to use it. It was the inspiration for my card. I built the card around the flower.

I found a package of pretty beaded hearts as I was organizing a few of my embellishment. I love it. . .it's so pretty. Luckily I have a few more of them so I can make more cards using that embellishment.

To finish up the card, I added the metal word, the Prima flower, the seam binding bow, buttons, and lace. It was a fun card to make.

Anyway. . .back to my cleaning and organizing! I'm progressing slowly but I prefer the slower pace. It's less stressful and life is a bit more balanced.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Shabby Chic Thank You Card

Hello Friends! Guess what I've been doing the past few days? De-cluttering and cleaning! Yup! Yesterday I worked on cleaning my craft room and oh, it's wonderful. So wonderful that I was inspired to create a card this morning! I wish it could stay clean all the time. It's really hard to be inspired when your special place is a mess.

My plan is to de-clutter everything starting next year. I think I'm ready to let go of some of my things. I've been having a battle with my self and part of me just want to just part with at least half of my things and the other half is holding on dearly to everything but as time go on, I've come to realize that the clutter has actually sucked out my mojo to the point of my not wanting to create anything.

Anyway. . .I had crochet a bunch of flowers using yarn and when I was cleaning I came across a few of the bigger flowers that I had crochet and forgotten about.

I have a ton of lace that I need to use so of course I added lace to my card and also a pretty vintage button to my crochet flower.

Anyway. . .today's mission is to sort through my scrapbook embellishments and decide which ones to part with. I won't get part with them until the new year but I will be setting them aside to destash at the start of the year!

My sewing table is also known clear of clutter and I'm actually in the mood to sew. . .maybe I'll start sewing something today.

Well. . .I hope you all have a beautiful Tuesday!

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C112

Hi Friends!! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time .. .but before I begin, we have a new crazy gal. . .we would like to welcome a new member to the team. Please welcome Dawn Easton of Treasure Oiler Designz! Yay! I've known Dawn in blogland for several years so it's nice to be working with her. . . she's one talented chicka!

Well this month Joycelyn will be hosting the challenges and this week, she came up with a fun challenge. This week's challenge is to WRAP IT UP! With the holidays fast approaching, let’s see how you’ll give a gift that personal touch! (boxes, bags, gift card holders, etc)

Last week I mentioned that my crafty mojo has gone on a sabbatical . . .so during this time, I've been on Pinterest in search of my mojo. I'm hoping that all the pretty creative projects that I come across would light a spark in me. I saw a lot of fun crafty projects among other fun stuff and they sure are inspiring. I did see a lot of different ideas on gift wrapping, Christmas bags, and other ideas. One of the things I've always wanted to do is to put my card in something other than an envelope. A great way to "pretty" up a card is to put it in a lovely glassine bag and dress up the front to look like a gift wrap of sort!

What I did was cut a rectangle chipboard and painted it with acrylic paint. Once it dried, I stamped the sentiment on to the chipboard and gave it a distressed look by rubbing distressing ink to the side. The rest of the bag was dressed up with lace, ribbons, snowflake chipboard, a paper doily and Prima flowers. That's about it.

Hey. . .before I go, I also have Tumblr account. It's non-crafting related. Pinterest sort of supports my blog on Tumblr. I pin things then I post them on Tumblr. I basically post photos of things that interest me other than crafting. It's just a fun escape when I don't feel like crafting. . .I sometimes post my own photos and occasionally some of my crafty stuff but rarely. Anyway, stop by and check it out.

Anyway stop by C4C and check out the lovely creative projects the crazies created this week or stop by their individual blogs:
