Creations by AR Template Release and Contest

NewRelease 11-10-10

Hello Friends! Hey Creations by AR has a fun release today! How fun is that. There are two cutting file/template designs being released. The first one is a "3D Fireplace Card" and the other a "Totally Tote-able" box. Be sure to stop by Creations by AR and the design team individual blogs!

There's a contest going on!! You can win a Creations by AR template by commenting my post and you have more chance to win by commenting the other designers post! Good luck!!

The contest ends on Sunday, November 14th 6:00 pm PST so be sure to comment my post so you'll have a chance to win the cute templates!!

My first project is the "3D Fireplace Card". It's sort of like a diorama card. . it collapses and it can be inserted into an envelope! How fun is that? Well since I've been doing a lot of vintage/shabby chic projects lately. . .I decided to create a shabby chic fireplace! LOL!

I did create a matching box using the "Totally Tote-able" Box. Isn't it adorable or what? Although it's not a Christmas theme, I used the same elements similar to the 3D Fireplace. . it can work as a gift set. I really had fun creating this box. I used vellum for the body to create a transparent appearance. The large flowers are by Prima. . .love, love them!!

I just love the Prima flowers!! So pretty!

Here's a close up of the stockings. . .I used K&CO designer paper. . .I love the vintage look!

Anyway. . .that's it with today. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season Vintage Shabby Chic Gift Set

Hello there, Friends! It's another vintage/shabby chic style card! I'm having a blast creating them. I guess because it's new to me and well, it's fun doing something different. I have a few more that I created . . .again, I'll post them tomorrow or some other day. I stopped by Pottery Barn the other day and saw a lot of inspirations. . .gosh, aren't all the stuff on this table so pretty or what? Looking at it makes me want to create more shabby chic/vintage creations. . :)This card focal thing is the tag. . :) I again, like yesterday's project created it using a tissue paper technique to give it a shabby chic appearance. The rest of the card was basically layering different elements such as the crochet lace, organdy ribbon, and adding the snowflake buttons.

Here is a close up of the tag. When I have the chance, I'll create a tutorial on how to create it. Just a last note, the designer paper is by K&Co. Not sure the brand of sentiment stamp. . .it's an unmounted stamp that I have and I didn't note the maker of the stamp when I unmounted it.

Here is the altered tin I created using a Prima container. I basically used the same elements to alter the tin.

That's it for today! Hope you all have a blessed Monday!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Gift Set Challenge #7 - Altered Tin

Hello Friends! Hey, it's Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge time again and this week, it's a gift set challenge. The challenge is to alter a tin or container. I love altering containers! It's so fun. I especially love altering "used" tins and containers because normally, I would throw a used container but it's nice to see it turn into something beautiful after altering it.

Before I continue, don't forgot to stop by CSAYL and check out the beautiful altered tins and container the design team created.

I decided to alter a Prima container. Actually the flowers are still inside my container. LOL!

Just a quicky details about my card. The sentiment is actually a designer paper and I cut it out. It's by K&CO and the rest of the designer paper of my card and tin is by DCWV. The adhesive ribbon is by DCWV as well. This was a super quick 15 minute card. Lately I've been into making quick cards. . .:) I actually created a bunch which I'll share on another day!

Here is the altered tin. . .I don't know if you can see the Prima flowers inside. I actually have a bunch of these tins. . they make perfect gift tins. . just remove the flowers and store them elsewhere!

Anyway. . .that's it for today. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!

I decided to create a gift set . . .I'm having a blast creating gift sets lately. I think my crafting mojo is back in full force!! I'm actually excited to create when I wake up in the morning. I was having a bit of problem creating a few weeks because I was so busy with my re-organizing my garage and craft room but all is well now. I'm so happy about it. . .:)

Just to let you know. . .I colored all of the images using my Copic Markers and the snow was created using Tulip's Puffy Paint. This is actually a "Double Pocket Bag". You can find the tutorial at SCS: Click Here

Believe it or not, but I still have a few more of the SU designer paper that I believe retired last year. I love love this designer paper and I'm almost out of it. That's okay. . .there will be other pretty designer papers in the future. . .LOL!

Anyway. . nothing much else to say about my card. .

My Scrap Chick Halloween Treat Box - Dracula

Hello Friends! Happy Monday!! Boy, I had a lot of fun creating this Halloween treat set! I actually started on the weekend but sort of lost my crafting mojo and decided to chill out. I finally finished the set this morning!

I used myscrapchick.com "Halloween Treat Box" set. There are different characters with this set such Frankenstein, Ghost, Pumpkin. . .etc. so maybe if I have the time, I'll work on a few more treat sets!

I did have a lot fun creating the set. . .initially, I was only going to work on just a box but decided to add a card. What's a treat box without a card? Well, that's what I think anyway!

Here is the box. I decided to add a handle using a ribbon. I stiffened the ribbon using fabric stiffener so it holds its shape.

The designer paper is by DCWV, the ribbon by Basic Basic, the spider came with the web . . .you know, the ones that you normally decorate your house with. They work fabulously with cards and treat boxes! It just makes the design much more fun. . .:)

Yesterday, we decided to watch a spooky movie and we chose "the Orphanage" . . .a film by Guillermo Del Toro. . the same director that created "Pan's Labyrinth. If you like scary, mystery, haunting, with a surprise ending. . .well "the Orphanage" is the movie to watch. It's subtitled because it's a foreign film. It's not really scary . . .just eerie with a great story line. I really enjoyed the movie. I added the trailer below. Our next scary movie to watch is "Let the Right One in". . .it's the original of the remake "Let It in" which is currently in theaters. The original is a Swedish film so again, it's subtitled. I love foreign films because they are very creative with their storyline and have a different take on life. In my opinion, they have more of a creepy factor because many of the elements in the films are unfamiliar to us in the US. Anyway, check out the trailer.

Okay, that's it for today. I'll work on a few more Halloween stuff this week! Can't wait to play around a bit!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Christmas Stampin All year Long Gift Set Challenge #6 - Double Pocket Bag

Hello Friends! It's Friday and it's that time of the week again! Yes, it's Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge time again and this week we have a gift set challenge for you. Stop by CSAYL for the link to the "Double Pocket Bag" and also check out the fabulous gift sets the design team created!!

Honestly. . .this was the easiest and fastest project I've ever created! Seriously!!! The gift bag is so darn simple to put together . . .I think this will be the project I'll be creating for my Christmas cards and sets that I'll be giving to my family and friends! I usually pick one type of gift set to mass produce for Christmas. . .and I think this is it!!!

This is a simple design but I like it! Everything on this bag and my card were just paper and card stock and I added the bow to top it off. I think both the card and gift bag took me 15 minutes tops to create because the design is so simple. The designer paper and the sentiment are from K&Co Christmas designer paper pack. . . that's it. Crazy simple!

Here is the matching card! I LOVE it because of its simplicity. I think I can make a ton of these, no problem!!!

Anyway. . .be sure to stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long and play along with us this week!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Release

Hello Friends! Hey it's almost Halloween. . .well sort of. . .you have about a month and a half to work on your projects so it's a great time to grab your Halloween digi images at Pink Cat Studio. It's a Halloween digi stamp release today! Yay!

I decided to create a few gift sets . . .they'll be useful for Halloween treats this year. I wonder if the little kiddies will appreciate my hard work! LOL! I highly doubt they understand the time I put into creating them but that's okay. . .maybe they can give it to their moms. . .:)

I created the box using one of the myscrapchick.com "Bigger Bag" files then cut 3 oval shapes and layered them so they look like a pumpkin. It's pretty simple to create the pumpkin shape. To give it texture be sure to run the oval shapes through your Cuttlebug embossing folders.

The bag was created by an SVG file and cut it on my Cricut machine but I don't recall where I got it from so I can't share it. It's not my file and I don't know who sells it. It may have been a free file. I can't remember. I just knew I had the file in my computer. But. . .not to worry. . .you can create the "Box in a Bag" following a tutorial on SCS: Click Here
I didn't have time to create a matching treat bag for this card but look at cute little Blobby! He is adorable isn't he? For your information. . .all the papers I used on my card are by DCWV and I colored the images with my Copic Markers. Anyway be sure to stop by the Pink Cat Studio Blog and check out all the awesome projects the design team created. . .and I mean AWESOME!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Gift Set Challenge #6 - Keepsake Box

Hello Friends!!! Well, it's that time again! Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge! This week is a gift set challenge. The challenge is to create a "Keepsake Box". The tutorial is on the CSAYL blog site. Come play along with us and also stop by and check out the beautiful gift sets the design team created.

Hey. . .before I begin. . .I just want to update you on my craft room reorganization. Well, it's progressing! My husband helped me rearrange the furniture in my room and I now I can actually put things away! All this time, all my craft stuff have been all over the place. . .in the hallway, in the loft, in the guest bedroom and even the guest bathroom! LOL!

I've been listing my craft stuff on Ebay. Check out my current listings: Click Here. I will list more. . .actually many, many more. I've been trying to list items on Ebay on a daily basis so if you don't see anything you like, stop by the next day. . .you may find something you may need or like.

I don't have my stampin' stuff quite in order yet so I had to use sticker embellishments to design my card. It's a quick and easy way to create a card. All you need to do is stick on the image! I think by the end of next week, I should have my craft room almost put back together. The difficult part is organizing the little things. I'm tempted to just stuff everything back into my room but well, that would be ridiculous.

What I'm excited about is that I now have a "sewing and crocheting" section in my room. It's just a small section in the corner of the room but I'm excited to start sewing and crocheting! I can't wait!

Anyway, here is the matching keepsake box. You can make one too. . .stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long and try out the challenge!!

That's it for today! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Happy 4th of July and Creations by AR Cupcake Box and Card

Happy 4th of July, Friends!
Hope y'all are celebrating this wonderful day with friends and family

Although it's not a 4th for July theme
My cupcake set is celebrating something
LOL!

You can find the CUTE Cupcake Card and Box cutting files at
Creations by AR
Isn't the set adorable?
Very yummy, huh?

Do you see the trimming? Well I crochet it . . :) Unfortunately, I only made one trimming and didn't have another one for my card. Isn't this cupcake box fantastic? Putting together was very quick because I used the Creations by AR cutting file and quickly cut it on my Cricut Expression.

Here is the matching card. This card has a cherry on top but there's also a candle version of this card. I used K&CO and DCWV designer paper. . .I love their papers.

This photo shows the mechanism of the card. The cherry top slips through a slot at the top to keep the card closed. Be sure to stop by Creations by AR and check out all the cute cutting files and templates! I guarantee you'll find something you'll like!!

Anyway. ..I really gotta run! There's so many things to do today. Hope you all are having a wonderful day!
