Change in the Daily Special

I'm going to change the daily special for this blog because my other blog site "Card Inspired" has the same daily specials and it's pretty redundant for those who read both of my blogs.

The list of daily specials is located to the right of my blog for those not familiar with where it's located.

Friday's Tag Time 1

Tags, tags, tags! Today is tag day. Tags are great because they can be used for various purposes such as gift tags (obviously), scrapbook pieces, card embellishments, and book marks. I found that using tags to mark a page of a book works as well as a regular book mark. If you'd like to send me an email with your creation, I'll add it to this post. Have fun!

The camera didn't take a good picture of the tags because I took it under a light and it distorts the color compared to taking pictures in natural light.

This card is a large tag. The size is 3 1/2 x 5".

This is a small tag - 2 x 3 1/2".

This is a pocket tag which a note can be inserted into the pocket as show in the picture.

Thursday's - Fun With Words 1

Sorry this is a day late. I was so busy yesterday that I didn't have the time to post. Today's daily special is creating a card or project using only sentiment or alphabet stamps. I have a tendency to use one or two stamps from a whole stamp set and rarely ever use my alphabet stamps. This is a great way to utilize stamps that I may never use because I have so many of them. Try it out yourself and come up with something creative. Email me a picture of your card creation and I'll add it to this post. Have fun!!

Fixed Sketch Challenge Problem

To my subscribers, I fixed the glitches to my sketch challenge dilemma. My husband showed me the way to upload a graphic image. I wish I asked him sooner rather than trying to do it myself. It took me a few hours and I just could not figure it out. It took him a minute to show me how to do it. Funny because my husband runs the Western Region of a computer networking company. You would think I would ask him first before all else. Oh well so much for my unsuccessful effort to do it on my own.

Here is how you upload your own graphic image if you have a program that do not support jpeg, jpg, gif, or bmp. Copy the graphic image you created, paste it on to "Paint" located in your "accessories" section of your "start - all programs" section of your computer, save the file, and it'll up loadable as an image. Whoohoo!! That simple, believe it or not.

My Very First Sketch Challenge

I'm such a newbie at this. I get excited adding new features. I'm sure the novelty will wear out but right now I'm having fun with it. This is a simple sketch but you can do a lot with it.

Here are samples of cards using the sketch layout.

Website Issues

Oh, my website is so tempermental. Each time I update the homepage, it resets my counter to zero so it looks like nobody looked at it. Very annoying. Today is sketch challenge day and I will be posting the sketch challenge sometime soon.

I don't know how to post a picture of a sketch drawing on to this blog. I know how to add a picture but how do I add a graphics? These technical glitches really makes me inefficient. I'm always stuck trying to figure things out and sometimes, it'll take me hours to do so. I wish I was a computer nerd.

I created a "daily blog special" which covers a special blog theme each day. Look at my sidebar to the right for the blog special for the day. I decided to do this to keep me focused. I tend to do 10 thngs at a time and never finish any of them.

Today (Wednesday) is Sketch Challenge day. I'm in the process creating a link to my sketch drawing. If I could just post it to my blog, it would be much easier but for now, the sketches will be linked to a file.

Until later. . .

Oh, Those Annoying Typos

I need an editor. Sorry if there's typos on any of my posts. To those who subscribe to my blog, I apologize. Please let me know if you see any errors, especially on the instructions. If my instructions are unclear or confusing, feel free to email me and I'll answer any questions you have. I found a typo on the "Pastel Greetings Galore" post. The last sentence on my instructions stated to attache the image to the "left". . .I corrected it to state to attach the image to the "right".

I'll try to proofread my post regularly so there's less occurrences of typos! Thank you for understanding.

Until later. . .
