Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C117

Hello Friends! Well. . .the year is coming to a close for the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges! This week's challenge is the last challenge for the year but not to worry, the gals will be back January 7th to start all over again! Yay!

What is Christmas without a Santa, right? So. . .to celebrate the season, the challenge this week is to create a card or project with something Santa. Easy peasy right?

Okay, I'm going to be honest. . .this is my lazy butt style of card making. I just cut a designer paper that already had a Santa image and basically stuck all the embellishments to decorate the card. Quick and painless, I tell ya'! The designer paper is by K&Co. . .it's from the Brenda Waltons Evergreen stack. I love this paper pack because the designer papers have vintage style patterns. . . they're very pretty!

I stuck on a ric rac on top of a felt scallop die cut, stuck the button snowflakes. .. I just cut the back of the buttons so they lay flat and the sentiment is from the K&Co paper pack I mentioned above.

And here's Mr. Santa. . .lovely isn't he? Anyway. . .I will be away on vacation next week and won't be back until January. . .so probably nothing crafty until then but. . .I will post photos of my vacation while on my trip if I have the time. I won't say where as of yet. I'll let you all know where I'm at when I post the photos. . .I'm sooooo excited!

Well, I hope you'll play along with us this week and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Hello Friends! It's Day 2 of Creations by AR 12 Days of Christmas!! Today is my day to create a project! My project is using the Ornament Box Set template. . .there are 2 sizes, a small and a large size and I used the "Large Ornament Box".

This box is not only a wonderful Christmas box because it's a pretty shape but it also is a great gift box. Handmade cards measuring 4.25 x 5.5 (standard size) fits PERFECTLY inside. As you can see with my project, my handmade cards and envelopes. Depending on your cards' bulkiness, you can easily fit 6 or even 7 cards and envelopes. If your cards are bulky then 4 to 5 cards. You can purchase the Ornament Box template at Creations by AR at 50% off today using the code "ornament50". View the label below.

To decorate my box, I used a Stampin Up designer paper and decorated with a felt die cut, ric racs, lace, 3D stickers and dew drops. The fun part about this box is what you can do to decorate it!! There are endless possibilities!!

Okay, that's it for today. Hope you'll play along with us and good luck!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!!

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C116

Hello Friends! Guess what! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time again and it's another fun challenge this week! This week's challenge is to create a card or project inspired by your favorite Christmas movie. Be sure to stop by the C4C blog and check out the pretty cards the crazies created this week or stop by their individual blogs:

Believe it or not but I couldn't think of a "favorite" movie but I have a lot of favorite Christmas TV specials one of which is "Frosty the Snowman". It's in the old claymation style of animation. . .I've watched it every Christmas when I was a child and amazingly, they still show it today. The other Christmas specials in claymations are "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". So. . .I decided to create a card with Frosty the Snowman in mind.

Just a bit of information about my card. I used an old retired Stampin Up stamp set for the snowmen image. I used Scribble Iridescent paint to create the snow. . .I sprinkled a bit of glitter on it before it dried. I really like the effect.

I glued the dew drops to parts of my card and on to the 3D snowflake stickers. I love how they actually looks like real dew drops. . .

Here is a close up of the snow. I wish I didn't cover it up with the sentiment . . .oh well. Maybe I'll make another card with the same image and use a smaller sentiment so the snow would should up more! I love how it's all glittery!!

Anyway. . .that's basically it! Hope you all will play along with us this week!!!

Hope you have a wonderful Saturday!
