Crazy 4 Challenges C4C83 - Easter Box or Bag Challenge

Hello Friends! It's that time again! Yup, it's Crazy 4 Challenges time and Silke Kittman came up with a fun challenge this week! The challenge is to create an Easter box or bag! It's been a while since I created a box project so this challenge was a great opportunity for me to do so!

This month our sponsor is Krisi's Kreations. Krisi's store sells templates which are available in a number of different formats, including PSD, TIFF, PNG, PDF & SVG. She's got some awesome cutting files. . .one of them I used for this week's challenge. Go check out all the fun templates she sells! You'll love it.

Be sure to check out the other boxes by Krisi's Kreations on the C4C blog and see what the other ladies created or stop by the designers individual blogs:

I wanted to create a vintage design to my box by adding a vintage image, roses, and lace. I'm so into vintage and shabby chic stuff right now. . .:) I can't remember what site I had grabbed the image. It's from one of the free vintage image sites and there are a ton of them. Just Google free vintage images and you'll find a whole bunch of them online.

The roses are from the 5 petal Prima flowers I had worked on a week ago. I took all of my little flowers and scrunched 3 layers of Primas and glued them together to create a rose. Now I can put those neglected Primas to good use. . .:)

I have so many projects I want to work on but I've been feeling exhausted. I think I'm going to take a few days break from crafting next week and just kick back for a few days to get my mojo juiced up again. Too much crafting can sometimes be just that "too much crafting". . .LOL!

Anyway, that's it for today! Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

My Scrap Chick Bow Bunny Digi Stamp and Purse Box Gift Set

Hi Friends! I've been busssssssssy! I'm craftin' away . . .seriously craftin'! But as busy as I've been, I'm having so much fun! I'll be posting a few of my projects in the next few days. . .some are new release stuff so I can't show them to you right now.

Myscrapchick.com now has a fan page on Facebook. If you're on Facebook. . .be sure to become a fan and you'll receive this Bo Bunny digital stamp for free and a few other digi stamps! Here is the link: Click Here When myscrapchick.com hits 200 fans, she'll release a few patterns for fans only so be sure to join in.

Myscrapchick.com is also looking for designers so check out the design team call here.

The gift set project I created was created using the Bow Bunny digi image and the "Purse Box Round Scallop (#1717)" file from the 30 Boxes and More set. If you have a Cricut or other cutting machines, creating the Purse Box is easy as 1,2,3~ I'm serious!!! If you don't have a cutting machine, PDF files are also provided so you can hand cut the different boxes manually.

I think these are the most simplest designs I created in a long time. I am donating them to my church nursery so I had to make them kid friendly! I don't want to be responsible for a child choking! That would be bad. . . so I had to keep the design simple where nothing will fall off accidentally. I figured the brads are safe because they won't fall off the card unless the child tears up the card and pull off the brads.

The projects are meant for Easter but I didn't want to add an Easter sentiment because I'm really not sure what the church will do with my projects. By not adding an Easter sentiment, they can do whatever they want with them.

I'm in the process of creating "boy" gift sets. . .but I won't be creating them with the purse box. .. I don't think the little boys will appreciate receiving a purse box. .. LOL!

Anyway, check out the myscrapchick.com site. . .there's a lot of fun stuff there!! Also, join the fan page on Facebook and you'll have access to a few digi stamp images! I love freebies, don't ya'?

Hope y'all have a beautiful Monday!!

Easter Card

Hi Everyone!! Wow, the week went by soooooo quickly. . .I blinked and it's the end of the week! I can't believe it. For the past two days, my husband and I landscaped our front yard. It looks much better now. We were waiting for spring so that the plants would have a better chance to survive.

The irony is that I am much more busier now that I don't work at a "real" job. I don't know what the deal is but when I was working at the hospital full time, it seems I had a lot more free time.

As a SAHM, you put on a lot of hats. . .I'm the resident chauffeur, the resident cook, the resident house cleaner. . .on top of that, I'm the cardmaker, scrapbooker, blogger, consultant, counsler, day-minder/planner (yes, I remind everyone what they suppose to do), yadah, yadah, yadah!!

Honestly. . .I love being busy. It's much more fun being crazy busy than crazy bored. LOL! There was a time when I reduced my work hours at the hospital from full time to part-time and I actually went stir crazy because I had no hobby and I was bored out of my mind. I wasn't the type to sit and watch television so what did I do? Well, I cleaned the house.

I would mop the floor daily and I mean DAILY. When you walked into our house, you probably could pass out from all the ammonia. Our house was CLEAN. Our yard was BEAUTIFUL because I would prune the plants in our garden until I ended up with tendinitis and could no longer prune the plants. Our plants were soooooo healthy because I would water them, clean the yard and all these crazy things to fill my time. Thank goodness I now have a hobby! I think I was a bit crazy back then.

Anyway, this is a card I made over a week ago and only now have the time to post it. It's a simple Easter card. . .nothing much to it. The stamp set is by TAC. It's such a cute Easter stamp set. I love it.

Anyway. . .hopefully, things will wind down a bit and I can actually CRAFT. I miss crafting. Whaa!!

Until later, folks!!

Yup, It's Easter Again!

Good Evening Everyone!! Well, I made another Easter card and this time I added eggs! Yup. What's Easter without the eggs, right?

Anyway. . .same coloring as yesterday's card. I watercolored the image then went over parts of it with my Copic Markers. It's a much, much faster process!!

The pile up image is from Whipper Snapper and the eggs and sentiments are from the Close to My Heart "March Puzzle Set". This is a great set because it has both Easter and St. Patrick's images as well as sentiments. It's like killing two birds with one stone.

The designer paper is by Autumn Leaves and the color combo is Close to My Heart Heavenly Blue and Blush.

Like my previous card, the images are cut out and layered to give them a 3D appearance. It's so fun to do this. It takes a bit of work to cut out the images but I like the end results of cutting and layering the images.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a wonderful evening!!

Until later, folks!!
