Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii Aloha Friday Challenge

Hi Friends!! Sorry. . .I was going to post this earlier this morning but I got caught up doing chores and errands! Hey, guess what is going on today? Today is Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii Aloha Friday Challenge!!! The challenge is simple. . .create a card with the color combo Pink n' Black!! Simple huh? If you play along, you may have a chance to win a $10 online shopping certificate at Little C's and the Whiff of Joy stamp "Henry Mouse - Angel". Little C's is now selling the Whiff of Joy Henry stamps and she has a large variety of the Henry images.

Furthermore, Little C's extended their sale of Magnolia Stamps until Sunday. All Magnolias at Little C's are just $6.00 each so be sure to check it out and grab them while you can!! I was going to create a Magnolia card today but I have to work on it this evening and post it sometime tonight! I just cleaned out my linen closet and well, I've got a big mess I gotta take care of right now.

Okay. . .just a little info about my card. . .because I could only work with pink and black, Henry had to be a gray/black mouse. LOL! I typically would have colored him brown or a lighter gray but that wasn't the color I could use! I think he turned out okay. Just to let you know the snowflakes are by Jolee's Boutique. . .they're not punched or created by me. They're pretty huh?

Hey. . .while I'm on the subject of cleaning out my linen closet. . .stop by my organization blog "Project Organization 365 Days of the Year" and check out why. There's an organization challenge for you to participate in. . .stop by and we can get organized together. Hope you'll play along! It's much more fun organizing with friends!!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Release and Treat Box Ensemble Tutorial

Hello Friends! Hey, it's Thursday and Thursday is Pink Cat Studio's Release of their new digi stamps! Yipee! Oh, I was busy this week creating cards and projects for Pink Cat Studio. Gosh, I seriously LOVE the digi stamps. You really need to check out the many choices of digi stamps at Pink Cat Studio. Not only can you buy the digi stamps, PCS offers free digital sentiments for the images!!

I created a tutorial for this treat box ensemble. Yup, a tutorial for all 3 projects so you can create your own treat box ensemble. Scroll down to the bottom of this post for the tutorial. This ensemble includes the box, top notes bag topper, and a super duper simple cocoa packet pocket.

This is the Top Notes Bag Topper. . .

This is the simple cocoa packet pocket

I created another treat box ensemble along with a matching card. This image goes so well with the cocoa packet treat in the box and the chocolate treats!!

Pink Cat Studio also has a contest running right now.

Digi DT Bio Betty Contest

Pink Cat Studio is starting a fun contest! Melissa asked each Digi DT member to create a Betty that tells us a bit about herself. Can you figure out who created each Betty ? If so then you could win some free digi stamps!! Click Here for the Details

I decided to create a boy version of this treat box ensemble.

This week's release has a lot of Hanukkah images!! With this card I used "Hanukkah Lily". Isn't she a cutie?

With this card, I used Hanukkah Billy. Just to let you know I colored all the images with Copic Markers. I'm not going to post the recipe for the cards or projects because this post is rather long already. If you're interested in what materials I used, please feel free to email me at cardinspired@gmail.com.

Be sure to check out the other cards and projects the design team created!!

Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii - Magnolia and CC Design Cards

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I've been stinkin' busy. . . .crafting! No kidding! I was sooooooo productive today that I even impressed myself! LOL! Today is my day to post at Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii and I'll be highlighting brands sold at Little C's. Hey. . .Little C's is having a big sale on Magnolia Stamps!!!! All Magnolias are $6.00 each. The sale ends today so I suggest you stop by Little C's as soon as possible!!

Okay. . .just a little info on my card. I won't be posting the recipe because I have other cards to talk about and my post will be too long if I post the recipe. If you want info on the card, email me and I'll let you know what materials I used. For this card, I colored my image with Copic Markers and paper pieced part of the image.

Okay. . .my next two cards were created by CC Design Stamps which you can find at Little C's as well! Whoohoo! I decided to create a Christmas card with a non-Christmas image. Hey it works. . .don't you think? Stop by Little C's and grab your CC Design stamps! They are supa-dupa cute!

Again, I colored my image with Copic Markers and basically matted and layered card stock and designer paper to give the card a bit of 3D look.

Anyway. . .I'll probably make more cards if I have the time this evening. We'll see! It depends how I feel later today. Don't forget to visit Little C's. . .there's a lot of cool stamps there!

Hey stop by my organizational blog: "Project Organization 365 Days of the Year" and check out today's challenge! It's a simple one so I think you can tackle it! Hope to see you there!!

Halloween Mini Purse Box Template

Hi Friends! I actually started working on this project a week ago and sort of set it aside. I finally decided to finish the boxes up. The box is actually an adaptation of a box that I saw on Paper Craft Inspirations Magazine. The template had a bunch of instructions on it and I couldn't print it directly on to my card stock so I modified the template so you can print it directly on to a card stock or designer paper. Scroll down for the template.

I'm really busy today so I can't write much right now. Just a little info on my mini purse box. To add the bow, I punched two holes at the top and looped a ribbon through them and tied a bow. The box is a small box. . .it's a nice box to fit a few Hershey Nuggets. . .maybe 4 or 5 nugget size candy.

Hey. . .if you have the time and you would like a bit of encouragement to organize your house/life. . :) Stop by my organization blog "Project Organization 365 Days of the Year" and play along in the organization challenges. I post a organization challenge each day. I'd love for you to play along. . . let's get organized together!!

Okay. . .I hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday!

Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii Color Combo Challenge

Happy Friday, Friends! Hey. . .you know, I'm about to strangle my computer and throw it in the trash bin! Uggggh!! It's been giving me grief lately!! Actually, it's not my computer, it's Internet Explorer. I did an update yesterday and now, it's flaking out on me! I know, I know. . .switch to Firefox. I actually did for a while this morning but after my Internet began behaving normal again.. . well, I went back to IE. I'm not sure why. . .I'm just a creature of habit, I guess. I really need to step outta here. . .maybe go shopping! LOL! I have such a headache right now. . .

Okay. . .before, I complain any further. .let me tell you about Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii Color Combo challenge. The challenge is to create a card or project using the color combo above. The DT had to use the Two Scoops Rice Design Halloween stamps for this challenge. Okay, now that's a challenge! LOL! The colors aren't exactly Halloween colors! But, I love challenges so off I went to work to create this non-traditional colored Halloween card. Hopefully, the recipient won't mistake the pumpkin for a watermelon or something else! LOL! Anyway, I had a lot of fun creating this card. Stop by Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii and play along. Your card don't have to be a Halloween card. . .a prize will be given out and Jen always gives good prizes so be sure to play along!!

Hey. . .you're asking. . ."where's that tutorial that you were going to post for the Pink Cat Studio Tag/Pocket card that you posted yesterday?" Ugggh, I was busy doing the laundry, organizing my socks and drawer that time just flew out the window. Suffice to say, I'm not a very good multi-tasker. I was going to do it in the evening but I had to finish my challenge card. Honestly, this hasn't been a good crafting week for me. I'm a bit behind and trying my darn hardest to catch up.

Stop by my other blog site "Project Organization 365 Days of the Year" and check out what today's organizing challenge is. . .I even have a tutorial for a cool sock organizer. I'd love for you to play along. . .we can get our house nice and organized together!!!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamps Release, Free Digi Image and Contest

Hello Friends! It's Thursday and what does Thursday mean? It means the release of Pink Cat Studio's of new images! Yippy! Thursday is a good day indeed!! Hey. . .come back later today. . .I wanted to create a tutorial for this project but darn, I fell asleep at 9:30 last night. I've been sleeping earlier and earlier nowadays. I rarely ever slept before 11:00 but lately, I just can't stay awake! I'll also have more cards to show you of the Pink Cat Studio release so be sure to come back later today.

Okay. . .let's begin. . .there's a lot of stuff going on at Pink Cat Studio.

Would you like to try digital stamping for free? Melissa has created an informative tutorial to show you how easy it is to download and print digital stamps. In the tutorial there is a free digi stamp that you can download and try out.

Here is a link to the tutorial if you would like to give it a try: Click Here

Pink Cat Studio also has a contest going on! It's called "Digi Ideas Contest"

To enter the contest, leave a comment in the Pink Cat Studio post and suggest an idea for a new digi stamp. Each week Melissa will select an idea and turn it into a digi stamp. The person who made the suggestion will receive the new digi for free in advance of the release and will be invited to create a card with it to be displayed on this blog during the new release.

Okay. . .just a little info on my card. I colored Lily with my Copic Markers. Hey, Lily looks like she has a lot of pimples on her face! I had run the embossing folder across the card stock to make it look like it's snowing but didn't think to cover her face. LOL! I've been trying to do those hair highlight technique but I didn't do a good job. . . .still trying to perfect it. I'll get better with time.

The card has a pocket in the front and you can pull out a coordinating tag. I have a really, really easy technique on creating the pocket without any scoring.

Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge and Tag Holder Tutorial

Hi Friends!! Okay, I was suppose to post this project yesterday for the Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge but. . . .well, the other night, I was suppose to create the project and I ended up falling asleep. Believe it or not but I fell asleep at 9:30. I just laid down on my bed just for a minute or two. . .well, that was the plan but when I opened my eyes, to my amazement, it was 6:00 in the morning! Ugggh! I've recently started riding my bike and I think it wore me out. By the way, I did really well yesterday. . .I rode for a total of 7 miles, 5 miles in the morning and 2 miles in the evening. Not bad, Maria!

Anyway, this Tag Holder was created for Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge and this week Sankari of Sankari's Sunshine Corner is hosting the challenge. Her challenge is to create a tag or if you want a card with a tag. Well I decided to do a tag holder with the tags. I even created a tutorial for you. I was meaning to post this yesterday but I didn't have the time to finish the tutorial. I wanted to post it together. I finally got it done this morning. Yay! Be sure to scroll down to check out the tutorial. It's really easy!!!

Hey. . .I have a little story for you. Yesterday as my husband and I were riding our bike, he made a strange comment while we were talking. He said "it would be nice if you had a hobby that you would actually 'work'. . " Okay. . .was he being sarcastic? What was he implying? He didn't say it in a mean way but I heard it loud and clear! LOL! He knows I have a lot of hobbies and I love all of them and unfortunately, some of my chores sort of take a backseat to them. KWIM? Well, I decided to create my chores into a hobby. Yes, you heard it!!! It got my mind churning with ideas.

Don't laugh but I started a new blog!!! Another one? LOL! It's a challenge blog! Yup!!! It's an organizing challenge blog. . .stop by and check it out! Click Here I already created Day #1 challenge. Play along if you want to! The blog is new so there's not much on it right now but humor me and stop by anyway.

Anyway, try out the tutorial when you have the chance. It's a fun way to hold your tags or even to give as a gift to someone!! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

More Framed Snowmen Christmas Decor

Happy Sunday, Friends! Well, I finished up the Christmas frame sets. I posted the first one yesterday. I had to readjust the composition on the design for yesterday's project because I realized that one of the frames was made with a darker wood. All I did was move the sentiment and bow to the center.

My plan is to hang these frames in my living room during the holidays. Hey, wanna hear a funny story? Well, this morning I decided to ride my bike, well one of our bikes which, by the way, haven't been used for quite some time now. They were no longer in good condition and my husband had offered to buy me a new bike but I refused. I felt it was such a waste to not use the bikes we already had.

Well, I decided to use one of the bikes and take a ride. All was well until about 3/4 mile into the bike path when I began to notice that the bike would stop moving no matter how hard I peddled. I was like, ah-oh! After a few attempts, my bike completely refused to budge. . .it was permanently in brake mode. I tried to adjust the gears but with no success.

It was still early in the morning and my husband was still sleeping. He likes to sleep until at least 9:00 on the weekends but I had no choice to call him to pick me up. Unfortunately, I had to basically carry and drag the bike 3/4 of a mile to the start of the bike path and I would have walked the rest of the quarter mile back home but the road home is uphill and there was no way I could shove/carry the bike up the hill.

After my husband picked me up, he checked the bike and apparently the brake pad had shifted so it was on perpetual break mode. Well, suffice to say. . .I gave in and decided to buy a new bike. Can you imagine if I didn't have my cel phone with me. . .I would have had a major problem! LOL!

Anyway. . .that's it to my funny story. Not very funny but I wanted to talk about it anyway. Here is a close of the other frame that I created. I created a total of three of them. As I said yesterday, the frames were purchased from a garage sale and they were only 10 cents each. Gotta love those garage sales, huh! The snowflakes was also a garage sale purchase. I can always find cool stuff at garage sales. You just gotta use your imagination!

Here is the close up of the winter scenery. . .aren't the snowflakes cool or what!! Anyway, gotta run. . . we're off to buy my new bike! Hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday!

Stamps: SU Serene Snowflakes, Thanks Snow Much, Christmas Punch
Paper: Me & My Big Ideas DP, SU Bashful Blue, Real Red

Framed Snowmen

Hi Friends! Happy Saturday to you all! Remember yesterday I said that I went on an adventure in my garage looking through containers and discovering all these cool stuff that I've had purchased moons ago and recently re-discovered. Well, a few months ago, I went to a garage sale and found a package of snowflake stuff and a bunch of photo frames. The photo frames were used but I bought them for 10 cents each. Ten cents! You can't beat that! Whenever I alter something, I don't like to buy new stuff to alter. I mean it's sort of pointless to cover up something that is new, right?

Anyway. . .I sort of stuffed the garage sale items that I bought in a container with the intention of altering them one day. Well, that day never came until now. I decided to create a Christmas scenery and insert it into the frame. Ooooh, how fun! They make for great Christmas home decor! Yay! I'm going to make a bunch of them and hang them up around the house during the Holidays!

I've decided to use a different format to my blog and center my photos instead of having them staggered. What do you think? Do you think I should center the photos on my blog or do you like them staggered left and right? Let me know. . .your opinion counts!

Okay. . . just a little info on my project. I stamped the image, colored them, cut them out then adhered them to the designer paper. I found a designer paper that had a Christmas tree pattern on the paper so I thought it would make for a perfect scenery for my snowmen.

Do you see the snowflakes? Well, I found them at the garage sale. . .again, dirt cheap. It appears that they are faux snowflake made out of shredded plastic but I'm glad I bought it because it sure is coming handy now.

Anyway. . .I'm going to make a few more of these altered frames. I have 3 more to alter! Yay! Be prepared to see more of these!! I hope y'all have a wonderful Saturday!!

Project Details:

Stamps: SU Serene Snowflakes, Thanks Snow Much, Christmas Punch
Paper: Me & My Big Ideas DP, SU Bashful Blue, Real Red
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: SU Large Oval Punch, Stickles, Satin Ribbon, SU Rhinestone Brad

Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hanging Halloween Decor

Hi Friends!! Wow, it's Friday already! I love Fridays but time sure do fly rather quickly. This is my second post of the day. . .be sure to scroll down to check out the projects/cards I created for the Pink Cat Studio digital stamps release.

Well guess what today is? It's the DT day to post a project at Little C's Stamp n' Scrap and our assignment is to create a project that is "anything but a card" using Two Scoops Rice Design stamps.

Yesterday, I went on an adventure in my garage! LOL! There's a lot of fun stuff to find there. As I was looking through my different craft containers, I came across a pack of large alphabet chipboard! Whoohoo! How fun.

Do you have a storage area for you craft stuff other than your craft room or for some, their dining room? Well, we have a 3 car garage and a section of one of the garage is dedicated to my craft stuff. There just isn't enough room in my craft room to store my older wood mounted stamps and other craft stuff. Wood mounted stamps take up so much space so I can't store them in my craft room.

Anyway. . .I immediately went to work and decided to create the hanging Halloween decor using the alphabet chipboard. It's a simple project. All I did was glue designer paper to the chipboard, wrapped wire works around the chipboard and glued on Halloween confetti to the wire. I then added the Two Scoops images. That's about it!!

Hope y'all have a wonderful Friday!
