Stampin Up Christmas Cards

Hi Friends!  I decided to work on more Holiday cards. . this time with a focus on using my old Stampin Up rubber stamps!  I think the last time I used the bear rubber stamps was five years ago.  I happen to come across it this weekend and decided to ink it up.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers and added a little glitter and liquid applique to the image.

This is another old image by Stampin Up.  I think I only used this rubber stamp once ever.

To give Santa's coat and beard a puffy 3D appearance, I used liquid applique and heated it up so it will puff up.  I actually used the Tully Puffy Paint which works just like liquid applique.  It's actually a fabric paint that puffs up when you heat it with a heating tool.

Anyway, I have a few more cards that I made but I'll post them on another day.  Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Birthday Cards

Hi Friends!  Blogging has become a really foreign thing for me.   Funny how that is considering I've blogged for close to 5 years n the not so distant past.  I remember blogging on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day.  I recall going to bed thinking of the new projects I was going to create the next morning, the tutorials that I could share, and blog them all.  It was a ritual for me for the past 5 years.  I really did enjoy it.

But. . .I've developed new routines, new habits and honestly, blogging and even crafting have become secondary to other things in my life.  Now, I do it when I'm in the mood and when I have the time.  To some degree, it's actually a good thing.  I've become interested in other things in life and I feel my life is much more balanced.  I'm no longer a slave to my craft and to my blog.

Anyway.  . .I did work on a few cards the past few days.  Actually, I created quite a bunch but I'll post the others on another day.  My goal right now is to work on holiday cards as well as celebratory cards.  I had the tendency in the past to randomly create cards and many times, they were primarily "all occasion" type of cards. . .more like note cards or "just because" cards.

I'm also on a buying freeze and I will only use my old rubber stamps.  No more buying new rubber stamps.  I have too many that have gone unused and I feel I frivolously wasted money because I wanted to keep up with the trend. . .buying and buying and buying things for no reason than just to collect them.  Ugggh!

This Santa image is by Stampin Up and I've had the stamp set for years, and I mean YEARS!  But if I didn't tell you, you would have never known and you would probably think it was a new stamp by Stampin Up.  LOL!

I also have a ton of "sentiment" rubber stamps that I rarely used in the past because they were too large.  I primarily used "image" type of rubber stamps and smaller sentiment stamps but large sentiment stamps can really make quite a statement when it's embellished with pretty flowers and dew drops.

Anyway, I'll end it here.  Thank you for stopping by my blog!!

Hi Friends!  Gosh I haven't posted in a while!  There has been a lot of life changes in the past months, major life changes!  One of which is that I moved to a new place.  I'm finally settled in. . .not quite done unpacking and organizing but my new place is livable.  Livable means I could resume crafting, not like I used to but I have been able to squeeze in time to make cards and crochet as well.

I finally reopened my Etsy Shop and added a few new cards and crochet flowers.  If you have the time, stop by and check out what I listed.  As the holidays approaches, I'll be adding crochet hats and other holiday items.

Anyway, hope all of you are doing well.  Below are a few cards I made the past few days!!  Thank you for stopping by, Friends!

Thank You Card

Hi Friends!  I'm sorry I haven't been posting. . . I've been busy re-building my life and it has been getting better.  It's been a rough few months but I'm happy to say that I'm doing okay.

Part of the healing process included making a card again.  I honestly thought a few months ago that I would never want to craft again.  I cleaned out my craft room, stored my craft stuff in containers and hauled them all out to storage.  I also started selling a bunch of my craft items on Ebay and I am still selling them.  A few days ago, I thought of making a card without feeling sad so I decided to take a crack at it.  I actually felt good making the card.

I've decided to sell at least half of my craft stuff and keep the ones that I really would have difficulties replacing.  Fortunately, I left a few items at home rather than storing them but the amount of supplies I currently have are quite limited.  No Spellbinder dies, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Copic Markers, etc.  They're all in storage.  What I do have at home are a few card stock, rubber stamps that I was meaning to sell, a few designer papers, a few ink pads, a limited amount of ribbons and embellishments, paper cutter, tape and paper shaper scissors.  It's interesting that with a limited amount of supplies, it's really quite easy to make a card.  I found that I really don't need all the gadgets and tons and tons of designer paper and tools to make a card.

This card I dedicate to all my friends and family who have been such blessings to me. I've received such wonderful support and I am so grateful for them. They've held me up in my darkest moments and with the grace of God, I am actually doing okay. Life is moving forward. . .although, I still have a lot of things to do and a lot more changes will occur in my life, I am managing pretty well and I still have a lot of good moments. A few months ago I really doubt it could happen but with lots of prayers, my faith in God, friends and family support. . .I believe everything will be all right.

I decided to re-open my Etsy Shop and also continue to sell more craft items on Ebay.  Please stop by and check out the items I'm selling.  I'll be listing new items on a regular basis so if you don't see anything you like at the moment, please check in regularly to view any new items I've listed.

The card sentiment says:

Thank You. . .
For always being there
For listening
and for your love and understanding

I dedicate my card to all my friends and family.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For Sale - Stampin Up License Plate Holder Frame

Hi Friends! I'm still busy selling my craft stuff on Ebay. I've been listing craft items on a daily basis on Ebay. I need to sell a whole bunch of stuff to help pay for expenses. Unfortunately, I'm unemployed right now and I'm waiting for my RN license to be processed to active status so I can look for a job. In the mean time, I've been selling my craft stuff.

Back when I was a demonstrator, I acquired this license plate holder by earning redeemable points. I've held on to it thinking I may become a Stampin Up demonstrator again one day but I've decided to let go of it.

If you're interested in this Stampin Up license plate holder. . .Click Here

Stop by my Ebay shop and check out what other craft items I've listed.

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C120

Hello Friends! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time again and this week our fabulous sponsor is MFT! Yay! As you all know, MFT has wonderful products from cute stamps and "die-namics dies". I just love their stuff. The challenge this week is to create a "child birthday" card.

On a somber note. This will be my last post for a while. I cannot say the reason why but I need to take care of things. . .my life is not what it seems, as I just discovered. I know it all sounds cryptic but I need to take care of this terrible business called my life.

For now, it's goodbye. I'm hoping to return one day.
