Little C's - CC Design Pumpkin Emma Pumpkin Card

Hi Friends!  Happy Wednesday!  Well, I feel so much better today. . .much so than I did the past few days.  I was feeling a bit down yesterday. . .not sure why.  Well, I think I do know why but not exactly sure.  One thing I'm a little down about is my lack of crafting mojo.  Why should that get you down, Maria? Well. .  I had such a passion for crafting at one time.  . .where I would wake up in the morning excited thinking what tutorial I'll come up with, what fun card I could create, etc.  All these ideas would be playing in my head.  Now, well. . .I don't get up the morning feeling the same way.  It was fun waking up that way.

I know I'm being self-criticial. . .but I'm not liking what I'm creating lately. . .I haven't done anything different for the past 6 months.  So. . .yesterday. . .I decided to spend an hour downloading templates from various sources.  Not from blogs but from online websites.  There's tons of them out there!  Some websites are totally devoted to templates.  When I have the time, I'll list a few of them for you or you could just go on Google and type "box templates".  LOL!  It's the way I did it.

I found this pumpkin template from a kid's craft site.  LOL!  Click Here   Save the template to your computer as a picture file. The template is quite large so in your "photo editor", resize the image to 5.65" height.  It should adjust the width automatically.  If not, adjust the width to 4.25" as well.  If you have Photoshop Elements, you can do the adjustment right before you print rather than resizing the template.

Cut the template and trace it on to a 4.25 x 5.5" card base.  Be sure to keep the fold intact when cutting the shape meaning. . .flush the template to the fold when tracing so you'll have a folded card after you cut the image out.

I then traced the template on to a designer paper and adhered it to the card base.  To create the stump at the top, I cut out the stump from the pumpkin template and traced it on a card stock and adhered it to the designer paper.  That's about it. . .nothing to it.

Today is my turn to post at Little C's Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii.  I'm featuring this new CC Design Stamp called Pumpkin Emma and you can find it at Little C's.  Jen has a whole bunch of CC Design stamps that she's selling. . .they are so darn cute.  You can also find other cute stamps there too!  Jen's prices are great. . .very low prices and she's always having some sort of sale or promotion so stop by Little C's and check out all the cute stamps there.

Anyway. . .there's nothing much else to the card except that I colored Pumpkin Emma with my Copic markers.  I forgot to add highlights to her hair so I had to use a gel pen to create the white highlight.  Sometimes I forget to add highlights while I'm coloring the image so the white gel pen comes in handy when you forget to add them.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Well Maria, it looks like your mojo has returned. I know how you feel about losing that will to get started each day. It happened to me and it worried me no end. I seem to have come out of it now and I look forward to each craft session again.
Looking at this CC design of yours, you have got that flame back too.
It's beautiful.

Sorry, Maria, to hear that you are having troubles. You did the right thing though by changing your direction and looking for something new. What about trying some scrapbooking or creating gift bags. Changing my media or my projects always keeps me going. I really love your pumpkin shaped card. It's super cute. You did a fantastic job of coloring it as always. I have that stamp too and had fun with it the other day. I think I posted it on my blog last week.

Keep your chin up and we will be right here for you.
xoxo, Christine
