Little C's Gillian Roberts Card and Card CASE
Hi Friends!!! I decided to blurf through blogland and choose a blogger that I wanted to CASE. I decided to CASE a card that Monika of M.A.D. Stamper made: Click here for the card. I've long admired her style of cardmaking. She has a knack of using embellishments in very unique ways and her cards always look very elegant regardless if it's a cute or elegant image. Her card design is simple but not simple all at the same time. She uses layers but her card looks so clean looking. I love them.
I think twice a week or so, I'm going to highlight the work of another fellow blogger. I'm sort of bored with my personal style of card making. . .LOL! I need to venture out a bit and CASE other people! LOL! There's so many talent out there. . .so many different styles, I just want to explore the style of others and maybe incorporate them to my own cards. What do you think? Do you think that's a good idea?
Anyway. . .now to my card. . .do you see this super cute image? Well it the new Gillian Roberts stamps sold at Little C's. Oh my gosh, I've never heard of the stamps until Little C's began selling them and I am now totally a fan. The images are so cute. Be sure to stop by Little C's and check out the stamps and products sold there. The prices are fantastic!
One of the things that I've been a little unhappy about in regards to my cards is my coloring. I've been so focused on finishing a card as quickly as possible that I've been coloring my images really, really fast and it shows. I'm not even careful about it. Well, I decided to be a little less messy on this image cause they are too cute to mess up! LOL!
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and followed Monika's layout. I did change up the layout just a little by turning it horizontal but otherwise, I tried to stay as close to Monika's card as much as possible.
Here is the sketch of my layout. . .it is a little different. Anyway. . .back to blurfing for another blogger I'm going to CASE. I just may CASE another card from Monika's blog. . .there's a lot of inspirations on her blog!
