Vintage Inspired and Clean & Simple Christmas Cards

Hey there Friends!  I decided to work on a few vintage inspired cards and much simpler cards.  I'm not really good with "simple" but I'd like to get better at it.   Back in the day, I bought a lot of lace trimmings for shabby chic type of cards.  I really like the shabby chic style cards but I have difficulties putting the design together.  I'll look around on the web for inspiration and practice a little.  I did try with the card above by adding lace and bead trimming and seam binding.   I still have a lot of lace and seam binding that I'd like to use up so maybe I'll start using them more often.

Another thing I do have are a lot of large sentiment rubber stamps.  Most times I don't know what to do with them because they're so large but going the simple route, I think the snowflake embellishment worked well with this sentiment.

This is a really old Stampin Up stamp.  I heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder and layered it on to a silver metallic card stock.  I kept it simple to give it a more elegant appearance.

This card is my idea of clean and simple but I can't seem to avoid using designer paper and layering my card.  I love layering mainly because I have so many card stock scraps that I do need to use up.  Layering helps me to use the smaller sized cut up card stock that I've collected through the years.  The image is by Stampin Up and you can't tell by the picture but I heat embossed it then mounted foam stamps to give it a 3D appearance.

I was able to clean my craft room last night so I'm excited to make a few cards today.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
