Another InStyle Thankful Thursday Sketch Challenge Card

Hey Friends! I know you're saying "wow, girlfriend. . .another card?" Yeah. . .I've been crankin' out the cards lately. So much to do . . .gotta get them out! Well, this is the "fo-real" InStyle Thankful Thursday Sketch Challenge Card. My previous card was the "late" card. LOL! Don't forget to scroll down to check out the other card I posted today.

Okay. . InStyle Stamps has a new sketch challenge today and this my card sample. Go check out the challenge. . .it's a fun one.

A lot of bad things happened to this card but luckily, I was able to do a bit of fix here and there and it all worked out! First of all. . .do you see the gray background. . .well, I used that color because my ink smeared on to the white when I was coloring the image! I was like ARRRRRRGGHH! Initially I was going to cut the image out as a fix but I wasn't in the mood to cut out the center. It's hard to cut out the center of images.

Another boo-boo is Mike's hair. . .well it started off black/gray. . .but I thought it was too dark, so I decided to experiment and add brown highlights. . .well, it looked terrible while I was coloring it. I was about to trash the image which I rarely ever do but I got distracted and set the image aside. When I returned . . . it was dry and it looked okay! Cool. There's more boo-boos and fixes but I won't go into it.

The image is actually a new stamp image at InStyle Stamps. . .this one is named "Mike & Jessie". . .aren't they adorable together or what!! So stinkin' cute.

Not to change the subject. . .do you folks watch soap opera? I don't watch them but sometimes I'll have the TV on for background noise and I'll stop once in a while to see what is on TV.

Aren't those soap opera characters NUTZ? All the drama. . .no one in real life can live like that. . .everyone would be dead from husband's, girlfriends, wives, boyfriends. . .shooting and killing each other because everyone is cheating on one another. No, wait. . .actually, in soap operas anyone who dies seem to come back to life later in the future. Such weird stuff. The writers can't make up their mind it seems.

Not to be redundant. . .I colored my image with my Copic Markers. . .I think with my next card, I'll make something different. Getting tired of all the cuteness? I'll create something not so cute, okay. What do you think?

Anyway, I have to pick up my daughter from school .. .gotta run!

Hope y'all have a wonderful day.

I Love, love , love the cuteness! They look like so much fun to color. And if you hadn't told about your boo boo's, I'd never know - you coloring looks great! (It is nice to hear others have those stamping days too, though!)

Not fair Maria! When I make a boo boo it looks like a boo boo! It never comes out this cute!! i love the grey background and the boys hair is perfect! Love your coloring as always and I can't stop staring at the way you did your sentiment treatment! That is so going in my reference file! Love it!!

I don't usually watch soap operas now, but when I was growing up my babysitter was hopelessly addicted to them so I was always caught up on all the shows. I am sure if I turned them on now, not much would have changed in the last ten years anyway! LOL!

smiles,
janna

What a fun springy card! I've always loved bee's and honey cards. I just read the book 'The secret Life of Bees' now I need to rent the movie.

I have a bush in my front yard that blooms and gets covered with Bee's each spring. I make everyone go around it so they don't scare off the bee's! LOL! kinda funny I know..
