Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge #33

Happy Labor Day Friends!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day!  Do you have any grand plans for today?  My day will probably me a mellow one. . .I'm not feeling well today.  It started off with my allergies but I think it's more than an allergy, it may be a cold instead.  Because I have allergies practicially daily. . some days are worse than other days.   It is sometimes difficult to tell the difference between a cold and allergy.  Actually, there is a distinction between the two.  With allergies, the symptoms are limited to sneezing, runny nose, itchy or teary eyes.  When it's a cold, you have general malaise, your post nasal drip begins to thicken and may change from clear to yellow, you may develop a low grade fever and develop a cough or sore throat.  That's when you know it's a cold and not allergies.

Anyway. . .enough of my yapping!  Guess what to day is?  Well, it's Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge Day!  We're on week #33!  Yay.  Okay, folks. . .the holidays are right around the corner.  It's time to start creating your Christmas cards or you'll end up a ball of stress when the holidays roll around.

This week it's Debbie of "The Paper Garden" to host our challenge!  Debbie's challenge is a fun one. . .the challenge is "Paper Piecing". . .simple huh?

I paper pieced the poinsettia using a SU designer paper.  This card almost turned out to be a disaster.  Do you see the gold iridescent paint on the poinsettia and dots around the round the circle panel?  Well when I was applying them. . the circle shape shifted a little because it wasn't attached to the base very well.  I repositioned it and I then did a CRAZY thing. . .I pushed down on the center to secure it to the base but the gold paint was still wet!  It smudged all over the poinsettia.  I had to wipe off the gold paint and reapply them.  You can still see a little bit of smudge to the poinsettia.  Ugggh!

Anyway. . .stop by Christmas Stampin All Year Long and check out the beautiful cards the design team created!  Hope you'll play along this week!

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day!

Smudges? If you hadn't pointed them out, I would have thought 'what a cool way to diffuse the glitz into a glow!' I think you've invented a new technique.
