Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #3
Hello Friends!!! It's Saturday and that means it's Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge again! I'm having fun using up my scrap papers and card stock. Unfortunately, it's an ongoing process of trying to reduce my pile. I do need to create more cards and projects using my scraps. I think if I create simpler cards, the process will be faster.
Last week we had a few participants. I'll highlight all of the participants because there were only a few participants. These ladies created such beautiful cards with their scraps! Check it out:
Tracey of My Creative Place created a beautiful card with a pretty floral image
Sheryl of Sheryl's Crafting Corner created a gorgeous card with a beautiful butterfly charm
Sahar of Simply Cardmaking created a pretty card with bold colors and pretty pattern paper
Gina of Scrapcrazy Lady created a really cute card with an adorable image and blue dp
Linda of Linanna Desgins created a pretty purple card with a pretty bird image
Now to this week's challenge:
Create a card using a minimum of 3 circle elements. For example, with my card I have a circle panel, circle buttons, and designer paper with circle patterns.. . .I also added a circle brad and the beads are circle shaped. You may follow the sketch below if you want to but it is optional.
Okay, here are the rules:
1. Other than your card base, the face of your card MUST be created using ONLY designer paper and card stock from your scrap pile. Do not cut up any new card stock or designer paper.
2. Embellishments added to your card MUST be from "opened" packages. Do not open up a new package or roll of ribbon, brads, buttons, etc.
A simple way to create a large scallop border is to punch card stock with a circle punch and line them side by side. It's a great way to use up your scrap card stock.
Do you notice anything peculiar with the Pink Cat Studio Lily image? Well, she's a bit jaundiced. LOL! While watching a movie at home with my family, with the lights off, I decided to color the image to keep myself from falling asleep. Unfortunately, I picked up a yellow colored Copic Marker and didn't realize it was yellow until I turned on the lights! LOL!
Anyway. . .below is the sketch that you can follow. I hope you'll play along in this week's challenge!! Let's start using up our scrap designer papers and card stock as well as your opened packages of embellishments!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!
