I've Been Tagged!!
Hey Everyone!! I've been tagged by a few people but if I missed you. . .I apologize. Whenever I get tagged, I don't play right away but when I'm finally ready to post the tag, I can't remember everyone who tagged me. I don't want the people who tagged me feel that I've dissed them by not recognizing their tag so I just don't play. I don't want anyone to feel bad.
But this time, I made note of who tagged me in the past few days.
Stephanie of Stephanie's Space , Jackielou of Bloggin' My Pink Artsie World and Margie of Oh Bumble is Me
Here are the rules...
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here are the 7 facts about me:
1. I sneeze a lot. I'll have a fit of the sneezes and sometimes sneeze 10 times in a row. I'll even wake up in the middle of the night with a sneezing fit! Drives me crazy.
2. My ex-husband (my daughter's father) was murdered by a random shooter when my daughter was 6 years old. It was a situation of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The killer has never been prosecuted due to insufficient evidence to win the case. Hopefully, justice will be served one day. We're waiting patiently for that day to come.
3. I don't paint my nails or use acrylic nails because I'm an RN and wasn't allowed to use nail polish or acrylic nails while I was working. A study was done on nurses who cared for premature babies due to the high percentage of infections and the results showed that the nurses with the painted nails or acrylic nails had the highest level of bacteria under their nails. Since the results of that study, we couldn't use nail polish or acrylic nails at work.
3. My cat sometimes tries to sleep on my head. Disgusting. No wonder I sneeze a lot. There's nights when I would wake up and my cat is sleeping on my hair or at the side of my face. Should I kill my cat?
4. Linguistically, I have difficulities pronouncing "th" with certain words. . .like with the word "the", I pronounce it "da"; "thought" I pronouce it "tought", and "that", like "dat". it's from years of speaking "pidgin" - a type of language that people in Hawaii speaks. Basically, it's considered "broken English". Because in Hawaii, there's a mix of different cultures, it was developed for the different cultures to be able to communicate with one another in an abbreviated way. Ever heard a foreign person speak English? Well, Pidgin sound similar but with an American accent. LOL! My husband and kids make fun of me about it all the time.
5. I lose my cel phone all the time, forget to re-charge it, or forget to bring it along with me when I leave the house. As a matter of fact, I have 4 missed calls right nowfrom my husband because I left the house today without my phone and he was trying to contact me. It annoys my husband, kids and others because they're always trying to contact me but I never have my phone with me.
6. I always stick my credit card in the back of my pants pocket after I go shopping and end up washing and drying it. It's bent but it still works. It withstood washing and drying! Gotta love that!
7. I'm a SAHM right now and rely heavily on my husband's kind charity to supply me money for my crazy craft addiction. When we get into an argument, he makes up with me by sending me money via Paypal. He sends it to Paypal so I get a surprise email letting me know that I received money with his apologies. LOL!! Who said marital arguments are bad. . . not when you get money for it in the end. Bring it on!! Maybe I should start a fight. . .I'm low on cash right now.
Anyway, thank you ladies for the tag. I really had fun with this tag. Instead of tagging specific people, I'm tagging all of you who decides to read this.
Hope y'all have a fabulous Thursday!!

Very interesting read Maria!
I love to read other peoples tags but I have difficulty writing my own:)
I'm really sorry to hear about your daughter's dad! I hope she doesn't have any horrible nightmares about it!
Years ago, my husband was mugged and shot by a couple of thugs while leaving his cousins home. Our son was 2 yrs, old at the time and sitting in the car!!!!
Thank God he wasn't old enough to see anything and the thugs were never found because they wore ski masks.
That was a horrible time for all of us but we made it through.
Thanks for sharing your tag and have a great day:)
Oh Maria I want a husband who apologizes with a paypal transfer... I would probably have a fit on everything so I can't get many transfers hehehehe. j/k. Your tag confessions have been the funniest of all....

Okay I am laughing about the Pay Pal make ups!!! I just told my DH that is what he needs to do when we get in fights (: We also facilitate a marriage class at our church, I think I will suggest this idea to all the young couples (: Thanks for sharing all those great facts about yourself!
P.S. So sorry about your ex.
Hello Maria! Thank you for stopping at my blog! I've been tagged also, and I am thinking now what are the facts to write...
Sorry to hear about your daughter's dad... The life is a mystery sometimes you never know what will be next minute. Don't kill your cat, I think your car just loves you so much! Can hear you about pronouncing the sounds... My English is all like a Big Mistake...
Thank you for sharing your facts!
Hi Maria, that is awful about your daughters dad. I hope that justice is found soon for you and your family, that is just awful. I like your other things about you, your so quirky. I enjoy it.
Hugs,
Stephenie
maria - i am so sorry to hear about your ex- what a tragedy... hope your daughter is doing well. she is so lucky to have a mom like you to nourish and take care of her through anything...
you are really a wonderful writer... you mix in humor, serious-ness, art and honesty into all your entries...
your husband is a total dear to apologize in such a sweet way! can i give him my husband's email so that he can share his knowledge on how to take care of a craft addicted wife - that would help me out a lot!! :)
hope your friday is going well -
sending you and your family a ton of happy wishes,
much love,
Sankari :)
It would do no good for slug to send me cash, since I do all the books and stuff. He has no clue what its all about. I give him a weekly allowance. It would be nice if he appologized for stuff like actually breathing MY air. I guess I have to outlive him.
I certainly understand about talking weird. I grew up as a minority. I was white in an almost totally black neighborhood. I said dem instead of them (I can drop back into it) but we moved when the bullets flew in the hood. Sadly, after a few years, the same happened in the new place but it was more a drug problem than a ethnic one.
And that really sounded stupid what I wrote-cause maybe I came off as racist. I can't be racist. My adopted brothers are black. That was my choice as my real brothers were and are idiots, so I found some I liked better. Hi Brian, Hi David.
Oh my gosh. I love that your hubby makes up via paypal. All men should do that! That's hilarious.
Thanks for sharing facts of your life with all of us & so sorry to hear about your ex!
You have a Gem of a husband there & he can have a fight with me any time & put money in my pay pal account too! How very clever of him!!!
