Little C's Weekly Challenge #11 - Whipper Snapper Penguin Christmas
Hey Everyone!! It's Little C's Weeckly Challenge #11!! Whoohoo!! This week's challenge is to create a card using the sketch below and it has to be a Christmas theme. Okay. . .easy enough!! Don't you think so? If you're interested in playing along, be sure to drop by Jen's blog "Pieces of Me" for more details! There's a prize to be given out so be sure to check it out!!
I decided to use my "Whipper Snapper" stamp again. . .isn't the penguin the cutest or what? She looks a little tired though? Don't you think? She looks like she needs a nap. LOL!! I feel a little bit like her right now. Well, Jen's online store "Little C's Stamps n' Things" have a ton of these cute Christmas Whipper Snapper stamps so be sure to stop by her store. . .the CB embossed Christmas tree is also from her store.
While my daughter was watching me blog a few days ago, she said "I knew it!! You talk while you blog. I could tell because when I read your blog, it read like the way you talk." LOL! Do you talk while you blog? I admit it. . .I do. Sometimes my husband would ask me, "who are you talking to?" I tell him "my blog friends". LOL!! He thinks I'm strange. Yeah, so what. . .he talks to his video games. Actually, he'll have serious conversations with them while he's playing. I mean, he'll even object and argue with the game so who is he to say I'm strange. Whatever!! Anyway. . .yeah, I know there's a lot of things going on with my card. I colored the penguin with my Copic Markers, added a bit of Stickles on to parts of the image as well as the embossed Christmas tree. Nothing much else to discuss about this card.
Here's a close up of the sleepy looking penguin!
I hope today will be a good crafting day. I've been sort of on a slump lately. . .been so busy working on my monthly kits for my Stampin Up club. The end of the month is always a bad time for me but now that I"m done, I'm excited to be able to find time to craft again!! Hear me "exhale"!! Hope y'all have a fabulous day!!

That's so pretty Maria, love the penguin... I just finished a scrap page but don't think it's worthy enough to go on my blog hehehe. I should've checked your blog for the LCWC #11 earlier hehehe

Great card Maria , I think this time I will have time to do this challenge.
What a great card! I just love the pink (:
OMG Maria! I love this card!! The penguin is super cute! I love everything about this card...at least you remembered to follow the instructions! haha! I'm not forgiving myself just yet :0 Teri
Ooo Maria this is fantastic... I have done a cuttlebug lace tree card but its nothing like this, really cool job.
Oh, this is such a pretty card! I love how you used your Christmas tree folder, and incorporated the penguin stamp there!! Great job! =)
Awww da cute, girl!!! Love your colors, and that penguin is seriously adorable. I have to save one on the side for me for sure!! She does look tired - but how can she be tired of ice cream!? Maybe too much cold?! Ya, I totally talk to the computer when I'm blogging, my husband too - asking me "whose that?"... hahaha.... does your hubby play online? Charlie plays Madden 08 on the XBOX360, if you guys have the same - our gamertag is Maxed0utGamer (the "O" is actually a zero), so hit us up if you do. Maybe you n' I can play some games too!! Hahhaha... that would be cool. Anyways - great job on your creation. I totally am loving it!!
Hugs,
Jen
Hey Maria! Love that penguin! And I talk to the TV when I'm playing Guitar Hero. I'm either saying, "Oh mannnnn. I'm junk." or "I rock!!!!"
Maria this is gorgeous and that penguin is just adorable! I love this card!
fun color combo and image....I love all your little details! I don't talk when I blog....but I think it's cute that you do! I say at lease you're *talking* to *PEOPLE!*....your poor hubby talking to games! LOL! ;)
Oh way tooo cute.
This penguin is FAR too cute. (She didn't look sleepy at first glance but now that you mention it a little...) The way you coloured her sure perks her up though. SO adorable! Love this rockin' layout and all your little details. P.S. I think that the reason your blog is so readable (and feels like having a great chat with you) is because you talk while you write. I talk to, but I'm going to talk more so I can be more personable like you. I need to tell more DH stories & get some kids, LOL. Yours ROCK! :O)
Adorable card!
What a Cute and Totally Fabulous card!! I love the way you colored this image...Wow..you are a master with copics!!..Talking to your blog...strange? naa....only if it talks back...lol...
