Create In Me Boy Card and Birthday Flowers

Hi Everyone!! Here is a card I made with the "Create In Me" stamp set that you can find at Jen's online store "Little C's Stamps n' Things". It's such an adorable "boy" theme stamp. Quite honestly, I am at loss when it comes to creating boy or masculine type of cards because I have a tendency to "dress" them up to the point that they start to look like a girl card with a boy/masculine image. Anyway. . .I tried my hardest not to over do it with the frills but I couldn't resist the scallop circle, the heart, and the bow. Oh, well!!

I also used the new "CB Embossing Folder - Houndstooth" that I also bought from Little C's. I colored the image with Copic Markers then stippled ink on to the lower edge of the image so that it appears like the boy is walking on dirt. You can't tell but I sprinkled a bit of embossing powder and heated it up so the "dirt" has a rough appearance. Nothing much else to the card.

I want to thank all of you for wishing me a happy birthday! I really do appreciate it and it made me smile to read your comments!! Well, I had a great birthday. My husband picked up breakfast from Mimi's . . . .mmmmm, yummy then during the day, the delivery person dropped off a vase of beautiful flowers and chocolates (pictured below).

My husband has always been the romantic sort. . .since the day I've met him and he has never changed. He remembers every holiday, every anniversary, every birthday. . .and he makes a big deal out of each occasion. He not only does that for me but for also for the kids.

Later we went to dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant. I had a salmon dish, again yummy and Tiramisu for desert. Later in the evening we saw the movie "the Mummy". Despite the poor ratings, I really liked the movie. . .it was fun and adventurous. The movie didn't take itself too seriously like a bunch of action movies lately. I actually liked the Mummy better than Batman.

Again, thank you. . . .I had a very memorable birthday and part of it was because you were all so kind to wish me a wonderful day!!

I'm so glad you had a great birthday. :O) This card is WAY too cute. I'm tryin' to think how to recreate what you've done with the dirt without embossing powder. I may have to add dirt to heat'n'stick powder, LOL. I love your details. What an inspiration! :0) Off to try your latest sketch,
