Daily Special - Project Reduce Scraps

Hello Folks. Today's Daily Special is "Project Reduce Scraps". I decided that I needed to reduce my piles of scraps. I have so many cut up designer paper and cardstock, open packs of embellishments, stickers, and stamped images. My goal is not to cut up any new designer paper, cardstock or open any more packs of embellishments or stickers until I reduced my pile of scraps.

Did you ever buy a pack of designer paper and it looked good when you first saw it in the store but when it was time to use it, you no longer thought it was that great anymore. Anyway. . that's how I feel about this designer paper. I really don't like the color combo but I have to use it.

I decided to use the retired Hostess set "Reason To Smile". I thought it would go well with the designer paper. I stamped the image of the butterfly, cut it out and added Stickles glitter to jazz it up a little.

Anyway. . .thank you for visiting my blog site.

Stamp Set: Reason to Smile, Stampendous clear stamps (sentiment)
Paper: Cameo Coral, Cool Caribbean, Pretty in Pink

Accessorie: Grosgrain Ribbon, Stickles Glitter, Making Memories Designer Paper, Word Window Punch, Making Memories Eyelets

What a beautiful card, Maria. I love the colour combo. When I am unhappy with a card it always surprises me that viewers like it immensely. I am right there with you in purchasing designer paper and no longer liking it when it came time to use it. When I was last at a scrapbooking crop, I kept pulling out all kinds of paper and said to my girlfriend, "what was I thinking--this isn't my style." LOL. Unused scraps seems to be contageous--I have a pile too. Discovered that scraps are wonderful now that I have a Cricut. I can't remember if you have a Cricut or not.

I know what you mean! Scraps of this and that perfectly good to use, but then get set aside. This is a beautiful card. I do like the color combination very much!

Yes I sometimes wonder why did I buy that. I am also challenge by what I call ugly paper that you get in the packs of paper that you buy. Some of my cutest cards have been made with ugly paper. This card is really cute. It looks like it was made to go together.
