Get Well Card

Hi Everyone! Just a card I made. I actually colored the image a while ago but never used it until now. I colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils with Gamsol. It seems everyone are using Copics to color their images but I still love using colored pencils with Gamsol. Actually, to some degree it's easier to use the pencils than to color with Copics especially for images that are very small and detailed.

The image is a very, very old Stampin Up stamp set. I would tell you the stamp set's name but I have no idea where I put the stamps. My room is a bit messy right now. I think I need to clean it up tonight.

Is everyone having a happy Friday? Friday is my favorite day because it's the end of the week, I don't have to wake up early to bring my kids to school in the morning so I can stay up late, and my family and I usually hang out together during the evening. We usually watch a DVD together or just hang out. We can't do it during the weekdays so I always look forward to Fridays.

Maybe I'll also have time tonight to craft. . .we'll see.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hi Maria: Love your card but wonder if you can tell me what is Gamsol? I have the Prismacolor Pencils and LOVE THEM - but not sure I know what Gamsol is. Can you please clarify? Thanks, Kadie

I love it!! Looks almost like house mouse stamps, but smaller. Love your coloring. I've been playing with my color pencils too!! But not for the same reasons as you - I actually want to make sure I use them so I don't feel guilty about buying soooo much different things. Plus, it is a good way to "get away" from the copics for awhile....

hugs,
Jen

I'd like to know what Gamsol is also.

Happy SUNDAY TO YOU!

Love to see you using the PC's and Gamsol. Thanks to you, I have been working at perfecting this technique with the pencils. The hundreds of dollars I would have spent on Copics, I have used to buy other stamping goodies. The review that you wrote a while ago on your blog about the Copic markers is an invaluable source of information for anyone contemplating the purchase of Copic markers. I think many of us are under the impression that using Copics will instantly allow us to enjoy the expert coloring results, like we see you do. That just isn't going to happen. Thanks for continuing to educate and inspire us, Maria.
