Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C86

Hello Friends!!! Happy Saturday! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time again and this week's challenge is to create a card with flowers! Oh my. . .it's something right up my alley! I'm gaga for flowers right now so I had a grand time making my card.

Before I begin discussing my card, be sure to stop by C4C and play along with us and check out the beautiful cards the crazy gals created this week. They are all so lovely! If you want, stop by the designers' individual blogs as well:

The flower is a digital image. Honestly, I can't remember the site that I got this image from. It was from one of the web sites or blog sites that share images but for the life of me can't remember which one. There are a ton of them out there. . .if I can find the site, I'll update this post. I added a bit of glitter to the image to add a little bling to it.

I've been gaga for fabric flowers lately and I've made a bunch of them to sell on Etsy. They are made of a satin fabric which has a little shimmer to it and I added micro beads to the center and also some larger beads . . .just regular jewelry beads as you can see by the hole through the bead. I should have turned the bead to its side so the hole wouldn't show but the larger beads were a last minute addition to the flower.

I'm also crocheting a bunch of white crochet flowers that I'll be selling on Etsy as well. I have a few sets of 10 crochet flowers in my shop right now but I'm working on crocheting more of them. The crochet flower measures 1.5 x 1.5" and lays flat so it's not overly bulky and they're great for layering like I did with the crochet flowers on my card. I added a rose style prima and added a bead to the center. You can also add another layer by adding a larger 5 petal Prima to the bottom of the crochet flower. . .there are many ways to embellish it!

I had a scrap ribbon sitting on my craft table so I decided to stamp the sentiments on to card stock and glue them on to the scrap ribbon. It's one of those things that I didn't plan to initially do but the scrap ribbon just happened to be there when I was creating my card so I decided why not use it . . .:)

The bow was created using a seam binding that I had wet, scrunched then allowed to dry wrinkled. I didn't dye the seam binding this time around. . .just wet it. I wanted a white bow. I added the hemp cord to the seam binding as I was creating the bow. . .that's all.

Anyway. . .that's it folks! Hope you'll play along with us at C4C! We can't wait to see your card!

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.

This card has been listed in my Etsy Shop
