Thank You Shabby Chic Card

Hi Friends! Gosh, it's been a few days since I last posted. Although I have been crafting, I haven't really created a finished project. I've been working on creating fabric and crochet flowers. Both take a lot of time to do. . .it's interesting that something small as a flower can take so much time to create. LOL! I think that's the reason why people buy the flowers rather than making them themselves. Well, I'll be listing a bunch of different flowers in my Etsy Store soon so you can buy them if you want rather than making them yourself.

Well I had a lot of fun making this card. After a few days of not creating a real project, it was a joy to actually work on one. It's like relaxation for me. It makes me happy to create something. Do you feel that way about crafting?

This is a flower that I created using a satin fabric. It has a little shimmer in the fabric. I love it. I had sewn a strip of fabric on one side and created a gathering similar to ruffles then I rolled the fabric into a rose/flower shape. To add a little bling, I added a bit of micro beads to the center.

I added a ric rac, crochet lace, a decorative border, little roses, and a tag that says "thank you". I also added dew drops to the border. . I love dew drops!

I added a bit of glitter to the image. You can find the floral image at Scrapoligie. It's free and she has a lot of pretty vintage images on her blog and her projects are just out this world gorgeous! Go check it out and grab the images. There's so many bloggers out in blogland that are very generous to provide free images for us to use. I wonder where they get the images...if I can find some, I would share them on my blog too. I think they may come from vintage greeting cards or old magazines. I'll find out!

I added a few beads to a sewing pin and stuck it on to the seam binding bow. I actually made a bunch of them a while back and I'm only now using them.

Anyway. . .I'll be posting this card in my Etsy Store and a few other items in the next few days. I just need to take the time to take photos of the items so I can list them.

Well, I hope you all have a beautiful Friday!!
