Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C119

Hello Friends! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time again! I have a funny story about this card. I had created the card for the challenge but I was so busy on Thursday because we had the task of moving furniture into my daughter's apartment that I literally lost my mind. I was supposed to have posted the card for the challenge and completely forgot and posted it as a regular post on Thursday! So. . .I'm reposting it for the C4C challenge!

This week Joanne came up with a fun challenge!! The challenge is to create a Monochromatic card in blue. Stop by the C4C blog and check out the awesome cards by the Crazies or stop by their individual blog!

My daughter recently moved on campus at the University that she is attending and we were there all day putting together her bed and desk. She moved to her campus apartment a few days ago but she was sleeping on an air mattress for the past few days. We finally had a chance to drive to the University to move her bed and desk into her apartment that she shares with 2 other roommates. I'm a little sad that she no longer lives at home but it's not so hard knowing that it's an exciting time in her life. I just want her to be able to experience campus life and being independent somewhat. Her happiness is always my priority and despite missing her, I am very happy for her.

I did work on a Christmas card yesterday. My goal is to create at least 5 Christmas cards a month. This is the 2nd Christmas card so far.

The snowman is by Unity Stamps. I colored it with my Copic Markers and using Tullip Puffy Paint, I created the puffy part of the hat by heating it until it puffed up. To create the snow, I used Tullip's glitter paint. It creates a nice glitter snow.

I've been using the snowflake buttons on several of the Christmas cards I've made in the past. I still have quite a bunch of them so I've been trying to use them up. They're actually buttons but I snipped off the back of the button so they would lay flat on my card.

To embellish the card, I added a grosgrain ribbon and a paper doily. I really like the cute snowman image. I think I'm going to make more Christmas cards with it.

I'm hoping I'll have more free time tomorrow to work on more cards or a project. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!!

Oh your snowman card is ADORABLE!!! I ordered a couple Unity snowman last month and didn't get a chance to use them....you've inspired me!!!

What a wonderful experience for your daughter! The nice thing is that she can come home on weekends and she's not too far if either of you need something ;) Letting go is part of watching them grow, although always harder on the parent....lol

Love your card. Good luck to your daughter. I know you are going to miss her because she showed up on your blog regularly. Your blogging told us just how much you treasure her.
