Color Washed Image

Hi Everybody! Again another card I made 2 weeks ago when I was in a cardmaking marathon. Gosh, life is so busy and I haven't had the time to really sit down and craft for 2 days.

I still have a bad cough and my sleeping pattern has been sort of messed up. I haven't been able have a good night sleep so during the day I'm basically lethargic. I sort of perk up about 10 at night but I'm sort of too tired to craft at the same time.

Anyway, I'm glad I had this stock card to post. Sometimes, it's a good thing not to post all the cards you've made at one time so for days when you can't craft, you still have something to post. I typically post everything I made each day but I made a few cards right before my trip to Vegas and I didn't have a chance to post them.

I colored this image a while ago and again, only now using it. I colored the image with markers with an aquapainter on water color paper. I did a color wash by soaking my aquapainter with water and basically brushing the whole image smearing the colors to give it a softer look.

The shiny flowers are actually rhinestone flower stickers by Card Connection. I only have a few flowers left and I can no longer find this sticker set anywhere. It's a shame because I really love these pretty rhinestone flowers.

Until later folks. . .

Sorry your not feeling well, Maria! I'd bring you some chicken soup if I lived close by. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
This is an absolutely beautiful card! I love the color washed image and the bold colors! I do the same thing. I sometimes save cards that I've made so that I won't have blank days on my site if life gets in the way of stamping. That has happened quite a lot this last year!

Oh Maria, I am so sorry that you are feeling so poorly. Maybe rest is exactly what you need so don't stress over posting. I know we will all be here whenever you do post, so don't push yourself. Take care, rest, drink plenty of fluids. (Don't I sound like your mom?!)

You take care of yourself! I had a bad cough too and when I finally went to the doctor, it had turned into pneumonia a couple of weeks ago...so please be careful. Get lots of rest!

So pretty! Your coloring is wonderful and I love the look of the color wash. I know how you feel about being lethargic all day. I have had real bad insomnia lately and it crushes my creativity or even desire to stamp. Ugh!

Hope you feel better soon, Maria. Wowzers, I'm tripping over my feet to rush over and see this card close up. I can still see my nose imprint on the computer screen. This card is gooooooorgeous!!

Maria I do that a lot too...

I colored after dinner watching tv
and I always work one day for hour or so and do many cards and keep posting, in my schedule is the only thing I can do.

hey girl, this card is absolutely gorgeous. Yea, I have been creating, and then saving them up, so that I can have a post each day too. Plus, not posting on the weekends is helping me BIG TIME! I love how you are adding the acrylic paints for accents. Looks so pretty!!!

Hugs,
Jen

Your card is beautiful and I think the rhinestones are fantastic! I really hope that you are feeling better soon too Maria. From what I hear, this cold/flu thing takes a while to totally get rid of. Here's a toast to the both of us!
