Happy Father's Day Everyone!

Happy Father's Day!! I know this isn't a Father's Day card but I actually thought of giving this card to my husband but I had already bought a "store" made card. I know, I'm terrible. Here I am a card maker and I bought my husband a card. When it comes to giving my husband a handmade card . . . .well, I think he sometimes think that I give him a "stock" card, you know what I mean.

Anyway. . .this card was inspired by my "photo paper". When I print photos, I sometimes end up with scrap photo paper and I can't run it through my printer because the pieces are too small. I decided to use my scrap photo paper to stamp my image on rather than a card stock. It's like stamping on glossy cardstock.

In the process of stamping the image, well. . .I smeared a little ink on the side of the image. Arggghh! So. . .I took a baby wipe that I used to clean my stamps and began dabbing the ink that were on the baby wipe all over the white area of the photo paper, hence the blue marble look around the image. I was happy that I was able to salvage the image. I hate wasting materials.

I outlined the image using a glitter gel pen then applied rhinestone. I kept the card simple because I really wanted the flourish image to stand out. It's such a pretty image.

Well, we're heading out to dinner tonight at one of the wineries in our town to celebrate Father's Day. My kids are hanging out right now with their dad playing video games. LOL!! We're going to hang out in family room in a few minutes to watch a movie. We love hanging out watching movies as a family. It'll be a nice quiet Father's Day for my husband.

Card Details:

Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper: Glossy Photo Paper, SU Bashful Blue, Blue Bayou
Ink: SU Blue Bayou, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Darice rhinestones, Sakura glitter gel pen, Organdy ribbon
