Happy 4th of July and Simple Pleasures Card
Hi Everyone! Happy July 4th to y'all! I hope you are all going to have a wonderful day!! My daughter's will be volunteering for our community's 4th of July event at the winery so we're planning to meet her later in the afternoon for the festivities.
The image on this card is from a very old Stampin Up set. Unfortunately, my SU case did not have a label so I don't know the stamp set name. Anyone know the name?
Anyway. . .I colored the image using my Copic Markers. I colored the background and the goal was to give it sort of patchy look to it so the colors were uneven but it didn't really give the effect I wanted. Arrrghh!
I also tried to highlight a few areas of the image using an opaque pen but the ink sort of ooozed out and added more ink that I wanted. Double arrrrgggh! I bought this new paint DecoColor pen because I wanted to see if it was a good opaque pen but if you pump it too much, a lot ink oozes out and it can really mess up your card. I tried to wipe it off but it just smeared the ink and it began to look bad so I decided to stop messing with it. Very, very annoying!
Nothing much else to this card. I don't even know who made the designer paper because it came from my scrap pile and I can't remember the brand.
Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful day!

I hate when I mess up my images, but sometimes, once in awhile it can be saved & looks kool!!! I love how this one came out & you used my favorite color it looks like! I love turquoise!!!
Very cute!!! Happy 4th too!!!
Wowzers, what a wonderful card. I certainly see the patchy look and I love it!! It doesn't look like you used Copic markers because it has such an interesting pattern to it. Well done, Maria.
I have no idea the name of the stamp set, but really, really love it. Great colors, great layout, great card! Darlene L
Your colors just pop off of the image!! So pretty. Love the key tag punch and the piercing!
Gorgeous Maria! The color combo is beautiful and your card full of flowers is sooooo gorgeous!
Looks great, but I hear you on the annoying part. Trying new stuff can be a big frustration hey? It's great to hear about how good/not you found products though and I love the gorgeous vibrant colour you got. :0)
