Mother and Daughter Mini Scrapbook Album

I'm in the process of cleaning out my garage and while looking through a few containers I found an unopened package of a Close To My Heart Mini Scrapbook Album and sticker embellishments.  I initially thought of selling them but decided to create a mini scrapbook album instead.

I don't like to scrapbook often because most times it takes me several hours to finish which I don't like.  I like to start something and be able to finish it and that's primarily the reason why I prefer to make handmade cards.  But I decided to work on it and surprisingly I finished within an hour or so.

I usually feel I have to come up with something creative for my scrapbook page design but I decided to just wing it.  I just stuck the photos, stickers, designer papers, and embellishments without any real design concept.  I didn't try to think too hard or I would never finish.

I used Stampin Up designer papers and the stickers are by Close To My Heart.

The pictures are just a collection of photos that my daughter and I took this past year.  I didn't really think about what photos to use.  I just chose whatever photo was in one of the picture files I had.  Most of the pictures were grabbed from my Facebook profile.  It was much simpler than having to look through numerous photos I have on my computer.

As you can see, nothing special about my design layout.  I just sort of stuck the stickers on.

This is my daughter's photo from her Facebook profile. . LOL!  I like this picture of her.
When I finally figure out what craft stuff to sell I'll let you all know.  Right now I'm looking through containers and sorting through them.  My goal is to sell at least 1/2 of all the craft stuff I own.  I hope I don't waiver from this goal. . .LOL!  I sometimes start getting second thoughts when I think of selling them.
Anyway, that's it for today.

Simple Cards and Ebay Listing

Hi Friends.  Before I begin, I'll be selling a few of my rubber stamps and other crafting items on Ebay.  Stop by and check them out.  I'll be listing a few a day so you may want to check in daily and see what I've listed:

Lot of 3 CC Designs Stamp - Brand new in packages
Sweet Kiki La Rue
Pumpkin Emma
Christmas Emma

CC Designs Sugar Plums Rubber Stamp
Brand New in Package
Pumpkin Emma

Close to My Heart Clear Acrylic Stamp Set
In original case
D1143 - Do Nothing

With this card I used my Unity Stamps again.  This card actually started off as a Mother's Day card but decided to make it a more generalized card that can be sent any time of the year for any occasion.

Been trying to use up some of my organdy ribbons; therefore, many of the cards I've been making lately have organdy ribbons.

I did use a Unity Stamp on this card.  It's the sentiment design to the left of my card.
I also have a lot of dew drops to use up so I've been using them on most of my cards as well.

The card is very simple with monochromatic colors.  I like its simplicity.

With this card, there was a really cute cherub image on my designer paper so I used it as a focal image for my card.

I love the Prima rose.  It's so pretty.
Anyway, that's it for now.
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday evening!

Cards made with Unity Stamps

Hi Friends!  I made a whole bunch of cards the past 2 days.  Nothing really much to say about them except that I used my Unity Stamps for all the cards.  I also mixed a few other brands like Stampin Up.  The "love you" sentiment on my card is actually from a Stampin Up Jumbo Wheel that I bought in February.

Really nothing to say about this card . . .I did use a retired Stamp Up designer paper for the background paper.

I really like this color combo.  It's a mint and chocolate brown color combo.
I think the colors go well together.
I did make a few more cards but I'll share them on another day.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far!

Heart and Birthday Card

Hi Friends!  Well I worked on a few cards the past week or so.  I decided to use my Sizziz heart die which I haven't used in a whle.  I then embossed the hearts.  Do you see the stamped hearts?  Well it's from a very old Stampin Up set.  I have so many retired Stampin Up sets that I haven't used in years.  It's really difficult to use them all.  As a matter of fact, I have a bunch of sets that I haven't used at all.

Nothing much else to say about the card.  I haven't been crafting much lately.  I decided to clean up my craft room a bit a few days ago so my craft room will feel a bit inviting.  Since moving to this new house last year, I had put my craft room together really quickly and really did not organize it.  I just wanted to put it together as quickly as possible so I could start creating but I really don't like how it looks.  It's so crowded and rather disorganized.

I've always loved this Stampin Up set.  It's one of my favorites and it's one set that I've used a lot of times, while neglecting the others.  I also used a few Stampin Up designer paper.  It's actually a fall themed designer paper but it worked for the color scheme of my design.

I'll probably start working on Christmas cards soon.  I started on my Christmas cards in August and by the time the holidays rolled in, I was still behind.  So this year, I'll start a little earlier.

Anyway, that's it for now.  Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Photo Share #3 - Rhine River Germany, Heidelberg Germany and the Rockefeller Plaza

Hi Friends!  Still sharing photos . . .nothing crafty today.  Honestly, I haven't stepped into my craft room for over 2 weeks.  I've been busy doing photography stuff lately. Actually,  I finally stepped into my craft room today and finished up a card but I'll share it on another day.

I took the photo above when we did a short cruise through the Rhine River in Heidelberg, Germany or was it in Lucerne, Switzerland.  LOL!  We did two cruises and I can't remember if the photo was of Lake Lucerne or of the Rhine River.  It was close to evening and the skies were gray so I had to Photoshop the photo a bit to give it some life otherwise it would have looked gray and dreary.  On the rock is a statue of Jesus.  It was really pretty

I took this photo while on the tour bus while heading to Munich, Germany.  I think we were still in Heidelberg, Germany when I too this photo.  I was amazed to find in Europe that there were rarely any SUVs or trucks. . . .just all these small cars.  In most of Europe, the roads are similar to the US meaning the driver's side is to the left.  Not all are on the left side. . .the only part of Europe that I visited where the driver's side was on the right was in the United Kingdom.  It can be hazardous when crossing the street because you are looking for cars in the opposite direction . . .so be careful when you're there!

This photo is of the Rockefeller building in New York City.    I believe this is the back side or the side of the building.  Or even the front?  LOL!  I didn't know which was the front of the building but it doesn't matter, all sides looked great.

Again, a photo of the Rockefeller building.  This was the side that faces the Christmas tree and the skating rink during the holidays.  Rockefeller center is a rather huge building and plaza with stores and restaurants below.  At the top of the building is the observatory deck called  "Top of the Rock".  Top of the Rock quite honestly had a better view to some degree of NYC than the Empire State Building because you can see a view of Central Park and at the other end, the Empire State building across.  At the Empire State Building, you aren't able to see Central Park.  I highly recommend you visit it if you're in NYC!

Anyway, hopefully my next post will be something crafty!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Photo Share #2 - Hollywood Sign, Oceanside Pier, and San Diego County Fair

Anyone who follow my blog are into photography?  I love photography but I always feel my photos aren't good enough, especially when I see all the beautiful photos I see on the Internet so I really don't like to share photos I've taken.  I'd like to take photography classes one day.

My very first camera that I owned was in the 6th grade and through the years, of all my friends, I was the only one who owned a camera.  I would bring my camera everywhere with me and take photos of my friends.  The only problem was photos had to be printed and it was so expensive to have film processed back then.  Gosh, if digital cameras existed when I was young, I would have gone to town taking photos.

Anyway, during the summer last year, my daughter and I walked up the trail up a hill in Hollywood across from the Hollywood sign and took a photo.  I believe the hiking trail to the sign itself is closed to the public but I was able to take this photo of the Hollywood sign. from across the way    Thought I would play around with the hue and add a little pink color to the photo.

I don't remember if I ever posted this photo on my blog.  I took this photo at the Oceanside Pier in San Diego.  On the pier there are restaurants you can eat at and there are a lot of people fishing on the side.  Oceanside beach/pier rarely ever get crowded . . .unlike Santa Monica Pier or Huntington Beach Pier so you can lay in the sun and not worry so much about over-crowding.

This photo was taken at the San Diego County fair last summer.  I love going to the county fairs here in Southern California.  There are actually three of them, San Diego, Orange County, and LA.  Honestly, I like the San Diego fair the best.  They had a lot more food vendors.  LOL! But. . .the LA County fair is huge!  I believe it's the largest in the country.  Problem is you have to do a lot of walking to enjoy the different sections of the fair.

Anyway, that's it for today.

Photo Share #1 - New York City, San Diego County Fair, and Paris

Initially I was thinking of starting up a new blog to post photos I've taken and going to take but decided that I'll probably neglect it so I decided to just keep life simple and post my photos on this blog.  I actually started a blog last year of my photographs but posted once and never posted again!  LOL!

This photos was taken while on my trip to New York City at the Empire State Building.  How did I take this photo.  Well I put the strap around my neck and dangled my camera over the balcony so I could take the photo without obstruction.  Not to worry. . .there was another balcony right below so if my camera were to have accidentally fallen off, it would have fallen on to the next balcony below.  I guess it's a safeguard in the case people decide to jump off the balcony or accidentally drop their camera.  LOL!

This photo was taken at the San Diego County Fair last summer.  This is actually my favorite ride.  I always feel like I'm flying in the air.  I can't wait for all the county fair here in Southern California to start up again.

I took this photo while on a tour bus in Paris, France.  I'm surprised it turned out clear considering I took the photo behind a glass window.  The streets were rather empty because it was New Year's Eve.  A lot of the streets were blocked off because starting in the early evening, entrance into Paris by car is blocked off on New Year's Eve to prepare for the New Year's Eve events. Similar to Times Square in NYC being blocked off during New Year's Eve.

At a certain time, you can only enter Paris via train and to encourage people to take the train rather than trying to drive in, public transportation is free in Paris on New Year's Eve.  It's also to keep drunk drivers off the road.

Anyway, I have more pictures to share.  I'll share more next time!  Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

More Cards and Day 1 of My Rebirth

Hi Friends!!  I think I talked about my "Rebirth". . .or did I talk about it on FB. . .I need to read my last post...haha!  I can't remember.  I think I've lost a few brain cells!!  Although I love eating and eating out at restaurants . . .I'm a serious Foodie, I've come to realize that I have become gluttonous and sadly, have become a bit chunky from all of the yummy food I've eaten in the past.  But part of what make my life fun is eating out.  My friend and I discussed cooking at each other's houses to try out new recipes but I hate the mess.  Maybe we can still eat out but maybe test out salads instead!

Anyway back to my rebirth. . .I don't know why I started talking about food again. . .I can't even control my thoughts when it comes to food.  Well, I decided to start exercising regularly again and focus on eating healthy.  I haven't exercised in months. . .and well, my bulging tummy is evidence that I better get my butt moving or I no longer will be able to see my toes.

When I say rebirth, it also includes other aspects of my life. . .I've had original goals set but because I've gone through some sort of happy mood hiatus, well. . .I sort of let go of some of those goals but I'd love to restart them again.  I started my new life adventure yesterday. . .starting off with jumping on the treadmill.  I actually saw my stomach shrink a little. . .not really but it's good to fool myself once in a while!!  It'll keep me motivated. . .hehe!

In addition to exercising. .I stopped by the grocery store and bought lots of veggies and fruits.  I even cleaned out my frig and pantry of fatty food.  They were expired anyway so I needed to throw them out but my plan is to not refill them with unhealthy food so it was a great way to start off my rebirth!

I'm not very organized with my goals right now . . .but I'll start off with exercising and eating healthy first. . .my little brain can't handle too many ideas at once....LOL!

BTW. . .I did work on a few cards.  My goal with my cards is to not only use every stamp I own and sell those I no longer want but to use up embellishments as well.  I have so many dew drops, Prima flowers and designer papers, it's ridiculous!

I wish I was more decisive on what to get rid of. . .one day I want to keep them, the next day I want to get rid of them.  I need to stop being so wishy-washy.

Oh my gosh. . .I'm rambling again.  Okay. . .I'll stop here.  Once I'm able to be more organized with my goals, I'll talk about them more.  BTW, today is day 2 of my "Rebirth". . .and the goal for today and this day forward is to eat less starchy food. . ooh, this will be hard because I literally eat rice every single day (because I'm Asian) . .as a matter of fact every single day of my life. . .rice has been a staple.  This will be one habit that will be hard to break.  I'll set a goal of eating rice only 3 times a week.  I think I can manage that.

Well that's it for today!  Hope you all have a lovely day!!
