Daily Special - SCS Challenge TLC197

My daily special posting for today is SCS Challenge. I chose the latest SCS challenge under technique challenge on their home page. The challenge number is TLC197. The challenge is to make a card that makes you feel peaceful, quiet and serene. Flowers make me feel at peace when I look at them so that is why I chose the Watercolor Garden stamp set as my theme to this challenge.

Card Instructions

Material

Watercolor Garden Stamp Set
Water Spritzer
Positively Pink cardstock
Green Galore cardstock
White cardstock
White glossy cardstock
Pixie Pink classic ink pad
Green Galore classic ink pad
Lavender Lace classic ink pad
Purple brads
Dimensionals

Instructions

  • Prepare a card base using Positively Pink cardstock and set aside

  • Cut the glossy cardstock to measure 3 3/4" x 5"

  • Ink large daisy stamp in Pixie Pink and spritz a fine mist of water onto the inked stamp then randomly stamp the image on to the glossy cardstock. Repeat this process each time you re-ink the stamp.

  • Do the same thing with the leaf using Green Galore ink.

  • Mat the image on to a Green Galore cardstock - about 1/8 larger than the the image.

  • Punch 3 holes horizontally to the lower right corner as show in the picture.

  • Mount on to the card base.

  • Cut a white cardstock to 3.5 x 4" and stamp the sentiment to the lower right corner using lavender lace ink.

  • Mat on to a Green Galore cardstock.

  • On a white cardstock, rubber stamp 2 daisies with Pixie Pink ink, 3 leaves with Green Galore ink, and the smaller flower with Lavender Lace.

  • Cut each image out and mount the daisies on to the left side of the stamped sentiment as shown the picture. Mount the daisies with dimensionals to give them a 3D appearance.

  • Rearrange the smaller flowers and leaves under the daisies as show in the picture and adhere.

  • Tie a ribbon around the top half of the card and create a bow to the right side.

  • Mount on the card using dimensionals.

That's it! Simple. What's your idea of peaceful and serene? Try this challenge out and post it on SCS or send a picture to my email address and I'll add it to this post.

Until later. . .
