Random Card - Embossed Christmas Cards and Tags

Hey Everyone! Here's another set of Christmas cards I made. Again, using my scrap materials. If you are curious about how bad my scrap pile is. . .click here.
I embossed all the images using white embossing powder. To give them a little sparkle, I applied Stickles to parts of the images. For the main image, I did the same thing but I cut out the image and mounted it on to the card with foam tape. I created a matching tag for the cards. I didn't want to add anything else to the tag other than background design because the background was sufficient for a pretty tag.

Card Details:
Stamp Sets: Snowflakes
Paper: Night of Navy, Ballet Blue, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Organdy Ribbon, JoAnn Brads, Fiskar "Scallop" Scissors

Here's the second card I made using the stamp set "Snowflakes". All materials and products are pretty much the same as the first card. Only the layout is different and the sentiment. I can't remember what stamp set the sentiment came from. It's a Stampin Up stamp but I had mixed up the set accidentally and now I don't know what the original set name of the stamp.

I love this card and the embossing is awesome. I always have a hard time whenever I emboss something. The embossing isn't completely smooth and just looks yucky. What am I doing wrong?

These cards are fantastic. They are so breath-taking. What a neat idea to emboss on navy paper; it really gives a punch. Lovely ribbon. Great cards, Maria.
