Random Cards - Christmas in October

Good Morning Friends! Here's two cards I made last night while watching CSI. The images are from a very old Stampin Up stamp set that retired a long, long time ago. I think the only way you can find it is probably on Ebay. I will NEVER sell this set. It's one of my favorite Christmas stamp set.

I colored the images using Prismacolor Markers then applied SU Crystal Effects to the word "Joy". I then cut the image out and mounted them using foam tape to give it a 3D appearance.

Card Details:

Stamp Set: SU Penguin Pals
Ink: Prismacolor Markers
Paper: SU Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Provocraft Holiday Collection, DCWV Scrapbook Paper
Accessories: Satin Ribbon(unknown), SU Crystal Effects

Here's the second card using the same stamp set. I like this one better than the first one because I like the snowflake background. I heat embossed white embossing powder to create the background. I like how it looks with the dark background.

Do you folks like to heat emboss?

Stampin' Tip:

Use your "embossing buddy" before applying embossing powder to prevent stray embossing powder from contaminating areas you don't want to emboss. It prevents the ugly messy look when heat embossing. If you don't know what an embossing buddy, I'll post a picture of it later. . .I have to take a picture of it.

Card Details:

Stamp Set: SU Penguin Pals, Tags So Much
Ink: Prismacolor Markets, Versamark
Paper: SU Ballet Blue, Whisper White, Light Blue (unknown), Provocraft Holiday Collection,
Accessories: White Embossing powder, Satin ribbon (unknown), Gold metallic cord, SU Crystal Effects
