I'm Back and Random Cards

Happy Cinco De Mayo, Everyone! I'm back from Nevada!! We were there to attend my husband's grandmother's funeral. She was living there for the remaining few years of her life. My husband's grandmother was a very optimistic person who loved to gather with family, enjoy life, and basically, enjoyed parties . .so, in honor of Grandma Cels we decided to celebrate. It wasn't a time for mourning but more of a celebration of her life. While in Vegas, we stayed at the Bellagio. We usually stay there because we love that hotel. It's a beautiful and "clean" hotel and not very crowded. Vegas can be such a zoo. Below is a picture of my daughter taken at the Bellagio's conservatory and botanical garden. Isn't it gorgeous!!

Anyway, I actually found the time to squeeze in a few cards today. All I cared about was to finish a card! LOL! It just seems that I've been having less and less time to craft. I'm not sure why? I think it's the unexpected interruptions that has been causing me problems. It's hard to return to a "crafting" mode when something occurs that takes me away from what I am doing. Are you that way too? It's like the "mood" disappears and I have difficulties getting the mood back.

Anyway, I had actually colored this image from the SU Always stamp set a week ago. I had created a card for one of the SCS challenges using this image and created two thinking I needed two of them. Instead, I really didn't need a second image so here I am now using it.

Nothing much to the card. The striped paper is from ATD designer paper that I bought from Wal Mart. The color combo is SU Wild Wasbi, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip. I cut scallops using Fiskar "Cloud" Scissors and the brads are from JoAnn.

This card was totally random! I don't think the designer paper suits the image but hey, grandma looks like she's having fun so why not use a fun designer paper!

The stamp image is by Inkadinkado. The designer paper is by DCWV - I think the glitter stack but I'm not positive. I pulled the paper from my scrap pile.

Anyway. . .gosh, it's almost 11:00 pm. I guess I won't have time to make another card. I'm so behind on my card making.

Maybe I'll have more time tomorrow. . .we'll see. If I haven't visited your blog site and commented for a while . .I'm so sorry, I just haven't had the time but I'll try to stop by tomorrow!!
Hope y'all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Maria, the Bellagio looks gorgeous. I feel the same way that you do about stamping. My creativity flows much better if I stamp everyday. It's hard to get back into the flow if I have been away for awhile. Your cards turned out great! That grandma card is funny!

So sorry for your loss. I am glad you got some time away from home to relax and enjoy though.

I think your Always card is very cute. It would be a nice mother's day card.

I luv your cards Maria their awesome!!!

I totally agree with your husbands grandma, celebrate the life not mourn it, she must have been a great woman. I luv Vegas & we love to stay at Caesars when we go, have never stayed at the Bellagio, but love gambling there.
