Crazy 4 Challenges Color Inspirations Challenge and Free Altered Clipart

Hello Friends! It's Saturday and that means it's Crazy 4 Challenges time again! I'm the host on the challenge site this month and this week, I decided a color inspiration challenge would be a fun challenge! It's a romantic color combo. . .perfect for a vintage, shabby chic style of card design. Stop by C4C and check out the beautiful cards the design team created or check out the designer's individual blogs:

I'm so in love with vintage and shabby chic style of paper crafting right now. It's really fun to bring old items back to life. I used beads, lace, satin flowers, and ribbon to embellish my card.

The pin is actually a decorative sewing pin and I added beads and a charm to the pin.

I found this free Victorian style image at Vintage Holiday Craft. Because this is a color challenge, the colors of the image didn't match the colors of the challenge so I "desaturated" the image in my photo editor to the point where it was almost an outline image and colored the image myself using my Copic Markers. I did leave a little tint to the image when I desaturated the colors so it would have an aged appearance.

I found this image that came with a set of tags from Magic Moonlight. I altered the image by adding a sentiment and modifying the color. To modify the color of the image, change the hue of the image in your photo editor.

I needed a sentiment for my card so I added the sentiment to the label. Again the original image is from Magic Moonlight Check out her blog . . .she has a ton of beautiful images that she shares for free. Click on the image to save my altered version of the image.

I've made a few crochet hats this week so I'll probably post them tomorrow. I'm trying to give equal time for the different hobbies I have but some crafty projects take more than an hour or day to create. I'm having a ton of fun switching around different craft projects and learning new things. I'm never bored, I tell ya'!!! Hey. . .I'm starting my sewing classes on Monday. I'm really excited about it. It's a 10 weeks course and I'm praying that at the end of the class, I can actually sew something. I'm thinking an apron will be my first project. . .LOL!! It seems simple enough and it's something I can actually use.

Anyway. . .enough of the chit-chat! Hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday!!!
