The Greeting Farm Dahlia and Award
Hi Friends! Happy Saturday to you all! Before I begin, Arlene of Precious Angels Creations honored me with such a kind award. Thank you Arlene!!! The award is for “blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated". I'm suppose to choose 8 people to pass this award to. I want to choose but I can't. . .there's too many that I may miss someone. Instead, I'll pass it on to all of you who visit and comment my blog. I've made such wonderful blog friends. . .thank you, my friends!!
You know, I really can't wait to go back to college. It'll be a fun adventure. I'll get to meet new people. . .which I've been sorely lacking since I moved to California. I sort of took it for granted that I had friends and family to do things with when I was living in Hawaii. I miss spending time with them. Gosh, I hate the fact that I can't call my friends and say "wanna meet at the Ward Center and get some lunch then head to Starbucks afterwards?" or "wanna see a movie?" I wish I spent more time with them when I was living there. Arggh, I don't want to think about it.
Anyway. . .on to my card. I really love the Greeting Farm "Wild Sprouts" series of stamps. The images are so adorable and so fun to color. Gosh, the possibilities are endless with these images. I've been seeing a lot of blue/turquoise and pink cards and I really like the combo so I decided to make a card using those colors.
This sweet image is "Dahlia". She does have a "Dahlia" look to her, huh? Well, I colored her with my Copic Markers and smudged a bit of pink colored SU pastel to the white area of the cardstock. Nothing much else to the card.
Hey, I want to thank you all for visiting my blog site and commenting. I really appreciate that you take the time to visit my blog. It really does brighten my day. . .I may not have met a lot of new friends in person but I'm grateful I've met such wonderful blog friends. It's sorta sad knowing I'll probably never meet you in person.
Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day!!

How cute is this Dahlia card. You surely make her pop with your colors and layering! That's why you got this wonderful award and it's so deserving. College? Cheaper for you to visit Hawaii 3x a year and have lunch! Aaahhhh nothing like Hawaii! Okay, I didn't mean to rub it in. Have a wonderful Mother's Day Maria, and let the family spoil you! Hugs, Cami

Good morning Maria. Your card is just fabulous. I love those stamps and you really make them look spectacular. I love all your details. I am so sorry you are missing your friends. I know it must be hard. I am glad though that you have found friends online. You never know, you might meet up with them sometime. Maybe we need to do a video conference scrapbook session. Do you have the capabilities to do video Skyping or iChat? Now that would be fun. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and get pampered by your family.
xoxo, Christine
