Daily Special - Another Retired Stamp Set - All I Have Seen

Okay, I'm having fun with "All I Have Seen" and "Tropical Blossoms" stamp sets. I know both are retired but I love all my stamp sets. I just hate to see them gather dust.

I worked a little harder on this card because I had to cut all the leaves and flowers from the "Tropical Blossoms" stamp set.

What's with the picture of the egg timer below? Well, I use it to time myself. I limit my card making time to 30 minutes. If the card is a little more complicated like this card because of all the cutting I had to do, I'll give myself a little more time.

Why time myself? I don't know. . .it helps me to remain focused and to prevent myself from working on a card for too long. If the egg timer is hitting close to the one hour mark, I try my best to finish up the card and stop. In most case I can finish within an hour.

I think I'm going to stop timing myself. I want to be more creative but my 30 min to 1 hour deadline restricts me sometimes. Anyway, I like this card. I like the flowers.

As for the the dragon fly image from the "All I Have Seen" stamp set, I rubber stamped it with positively pink and colored the dragonfly with the positively pink marker. I then added clear Stickles to give it a glittery look.

Maria, another great card. I just love the colors. So vibriant.
I love to cut, so this card is extra special to me. Cut out images just give an extra WOW to a card. :o) Great sketch too. I just love all your sketches. TFS!

What a vibrant card! I found your comments about timing yourself very interesting. I can easily spend 2 hours- even on a very simple card. I am very efficient in everything else but I am a VERY slow stamper. Maybe I'll try a timer just to see if it hinders or helps me!

What a gorgeous card - thanks for the inspiration for my not too often used AIHS set. Your cards have soooooooo much detail - you are very creative. I don't think I could work using a timer like you have done. Well done to have made this card in an hour especially with all that cutting. Love all your sketches and the accompanying sample card to help visualise.
