Whoohoo! Surfer Ian is Hot!

Hey Friends! Okay, I'm diggin' Ian on his surfboard. He's catching the big waves down at Banzai Pipeline in Hawaii! Banzai Pipeline is a well known beach in Hawaii, especially to the big name surfers. There's times when the waves can get as high as 25 feet and there's crazy nuts that actually try to surf it. It's like the ultimate wave if you're a surfer.

When I was younger, we'd drive down to Pipeline and check out the waves when they're really huge and wow, it's a sight to see. The waves are beautiful but foreboding all at the same time and to top it off, the surfers there were HOT! LOL! Seriously. . .I think surfers are cute. Most times, they're on the skinny side but that's okay. . .they're fit, tan, and way cute! LOL!! Oh and the surfers in Hawaii don't say "hey, dude" and stupid stuff like that. Only the stoners say that!

Okay, Surfer Ian is a new stamp by the Greeting Farm. It was released yesterday so be sure to go check it out!!

Ian reminds me of the cute surfers in Hawaii. Do you see the wave? Well, I drew the wave . . .I should have made it a tubular wave but Ian is too big. . .my card would have to be a big card for him to ride a tubular wave so Ian just has to deal with the small wave I drew. . .similar to the ones you see in Waikiki. If you surf in Waikiki, you're big time amateur! LOL! Only the tourist surf in Waikiki. The local surfers wouldn't be caught dead surfing there.

Hey. . remember I posted yesterday that we were going to eat lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Well, oh my gosh. . .the food was yummy, especially the Cheesecake! Good times, good times! When it comes to good food, man it makes my day.

Anyway. . .I colored Ian with my Copic Markers. I tried to keep the card simple so it won't look like a chick's card. At the most, I cut the scallop shape but it was hard not to add ribbon or some sort of bling.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday!!

Another fantastic card. You really made this image come to life. I love seeing Ian surfing. Your paper is just perfect and your wave was a perfect detail. I'm so glad you had fun at Cheesecake Factory. It happens to be one of my favorite restaurants too. I loved hearing your Hawaii surfer stories. I love watching them surf. I saw some at Maui when I was there but the waves weren't really that big that day. Have a great rest of your weekend.
xoxo, Christine

Maria, you totally blow me away with your artwork!

I love how you "popped" him up. Makes it look real. Your coloring is amazing as always and cool trick with the white. I just figured it was all some type of gel pen.

This card ROCKS!! I love everything about it! I have to get this stamp - I have 2 boys and need more boy-ish stamps for cards! We live so close to the ocean and my boys and their friends love to boogie board etc - they are little, so no surfing yet!

Maria, this card should be entered in a contest, or submitted to a magazine OR something!

I love all of the layering and the coloring is just perfect. Great job with drawing the waves!!

I can't believe that there are only 2 of the original ISS stamps DT. What has happened to everyone? I have not had much time to play lately.....thanks for the well wishes on my new venture and my CTMH business! My life has never been busier and I have never been more tired, but I seem to be getting more done.....who would have thunk??

Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hey! I do miss chatting....
