Random Card - Made a Bunch of Cards Last Night

Good Morning Folks! Yeah, I made a bunch of cards last night. . . well, not a bunch but three cards. I remained focused and was very productive. Anyway, any of you watch "Dancing With the Stars"? Isn't Leila Ali such a beautiful looking gal? Imagine. . . she's a boxer and her face don't look beat up. Furthermore, she is so graceful on the dance floor. It looks like she has lost a bit of weight. . .she now looks like a model.

Anyway, back to the cards. The first card was created using "Doodle This" stamp set. I stamped the flower on to scrapbook paper, cut it out, then shaded the edge with ink using a sponge dauber.

Stamping Tip:

I created the stems myself and wrote in the sentiments. I added dots to the flowers and stems using Sakura Souffle Pen. Sakura Souffle Pen is an opaque gel pen that appears 3D or puffy after it dries. I also sewn the edge of the cardstock using a sewing machine.

Accessories used to create the cards: Stampin Up buttons, 1/2" circle punch, Fiskar "Cloud" scissors, Basic Basic ribbon




Card 2:

The stamp set used for this card was from the "Best of Cluck" stamp set which by the way is retiring, folks. I love this stamp set! I'm sad to see it go. I colored the image using Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Stamping Tip:

When coloring with Prismacolor Pencils with Gamsol. . .don't be afraid to mix different colors and blend them together. The chicken was colored using a brown, burgundy, and mustard colored pencils and I blended the colors together and shaded several areas with the darker colored pencil.

Papers used: Positively Pink, Really Rust and DCWV scrapbook paper

Accessories used: American Elements ribbon, Card Connection metal charms

Card #3:

The stamp set "Farm Fever" was used to create this card. I recently bought this set. . .I think this set is really cute and a great set to color in. I colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils.

Stamping Tip:

When creating layouts for your cards, don't be afraid to change the angles of the design. It makes the layout look interesting and unconventional. Also, be creative with texture, shapes, and patterns. Mix and match them but avoid mixing the same type of pattern. . .for example don't use two types of striped patterns together. It's better to use two contrasting patterns such as a circle pattern with stripes, or flowers with stripes or plaid, etc.
