SoCal Stampin' Up Gals Get Together

Holly, Kari, Michelle and Joanne

Got together for a bit of Stampin up socializing with Holly, Kari, Michelle and Joanne (my upline). This is the first time I met Holly, Kari and Michelle. We are all Stampin Up demonstrators It was wonderful meeting them! I was a little reserved because I'm that way initially when I first meet people. But. . .well, that all changes once I know you a little better. . .I'm a major chatter bug and not at all reserved. My daughter is the same way. . .she is not at all a shy person and I'm not either but we both have a tendency to be reserved around new people. I think most people are that way, huh?

Anyway we swapped cards and did make and takes. I made a little boo-boo. . .I'm so accustomed to using embellishments from other brands that I made my swap and make and take with scrapbook paper and ribbons from another company. Oops. . .our get together was supposed to be a strictly Stampin Up swap and make and take but I didn't know that . I thought just the stamps and cardstock was suppose to be Stampin Up. I have to remember that next time.

This was my swap. The stamp set used was Flower Fest and the sentiment from All Year Cheer II and Amazing to Zany. Both stamp sets are retiring this year.

Paper: Cameo Coral. Apricot Appeal, and Certainly Celery and K&Co scrapbook paper
Accesories: 1" and 1 1/4" punch, organdy ribbon, JoAnn buttons, and hemp cord

This card was my Make and Take. The stamps sets used were All Year Cheer III which is retiring, Small Script which is retired, and Big Bloom which is currently in the Spring Mini Catalog.

Paper: Pixie Pink, Always Artichoke, and Cool Caribbean which is retiring this year. K&Co Scrapbook Paper
Inks: Pixie Pink and Cool Caribbean
Accessories: Organdy ribbon, 1" circle punch, Fiskar "Cloud" scissors

Holly, Kari, Michelle, and Joanne's Make and Takes. They were fun to make!

Joanne, Michelle, Kari, and Holly's Swaps! Aren't they great!

Until later. . .

Girl - that's just your local style to have the tendency to not open up when you first meet a person (unless of course you're meeting another local girl), because you no like get burn. you know how it is....
