Christmas Stampin All Year Long - Challenge #4 (02-16-09)

Hi Friends!! Wow, I can't believe it's Christmas Stampin All Year Long challenge again!! This week's challenge is to follow a sketch challenge and I added an additional element to the challenge! Your primary image has to be a snowman.

It's been really fun creating these Christmas cards! I think this year, I'll be organized and ready for Christmas! With my Christmas cards out of the way, I can actually enjoy the holidays . . .not that I don't enjoy it but I'm always rushing to finish all my Christmas cards and projects. It gets a bit stressful to juggle shopping, crafting, blogging, gift wrapping, decorating, etc.

Anyway. . .stop by the group challenge blog site and check out the other fabulous cards that the challenge divas created for this week's challenge!!

Just a little info on my card. . ..

I created the background by using my SU Top Note die, then created the marble background using the "Polished Stone" technique. The rest of the card were basically layering the elements of my card.

I colored my image using Prismacolor Pencils, applied Versamark all over the image then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. You can't really see it in the picture but it has a sheen over the image.

Anyway. . .not too many played along in the challenge last week, so it would be nice if you'll be motivated to play along this week!!

Hope y'all have a fabulous President's Day holiday!!

Card Details:

Stamp: unkown, SU (sentiment)
Paper: Glossy white card stock, Me & My Big Ideas designer paper, SU Wild Wasabi, Rose Red (I think)
Ink: Prismacolor Pencils, Versamark
Accessories: SU Top Note die, Fiskar scallop scissors, Coluzzle Circle template, Basic Basic riboon, SU Key Tag Punch, Clear embossing powder, Darice Rhinestones

This is a great card. The colors and layers make it so pretty. I do the same tech, appling the clear embossing to the entier image a lot and think it makes a fun addition to this card. I also like the background tech you did as well. Fabulous!!
