Flutter by Wednesday Challenge #47

Hi Friends! Wow, thank you to all of you for being so kind to congratulate me yesterday for making the Greeting Farm design team. You guys are so sweet. I really appreciate your wonderful comments.

I created this butterfly card for Danni's Flutter by Wednesday challenge . The challenge is actually no challenge this week meaning you are free to create what you want using a butterfly image on your card. Hey, I can do that! LOL! Well, this is what I came up with!

You're like what the heck? Where's the butterfly. . .doesn't my butterfly look more like a flower? LOL! I started off with just the butterfly then I kept going and going. Is it too much?

Gosh I haven't used my SU Garden Whimsy stamp set for so long. As a matter of fact, I haven't touched any of my SU stamps for over a month. I feel a littel guilty about it. It's ridiculous because I keep buying them but then they'll sit for months unused.

Anyway. . .just a little info about my card. First of all, I inked all the images using pigment ink by Colorbox Petal ink pad. I then heat embossed the images with SU Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I then added a bit of Stickles to parts of the image.

The smaller butterfly layered over the larger butterfly is a stamp by Inkadinkado. I sort of added it last minute.

Here's a close up of my butterfly. Wow, that's a lot of cutting, Maria! LOL! Yeah, I had cut the images while watching TV. You must think I watch a lot of TV! LOL! Actually, it helps to be distracted a bit when cutting the images. . .time goes by quicker.

Well stop by Danni's blog site and participate in the challenge. She has a new challenge every Wednesday.

Card Details:

Stamps: SU Garden Whimsy, Always, Inkadinkado
Paper: K&CO designer paper, SU So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy
Ink: Colorbox Petal Ink Pads
Accessories; Darice rhinestones, Stickles Glitter, SU Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Organdy ribbon, SU Scallop Edge Punch

Beautiful card! I have had the same thing happen with my SU stamps lately - I am so obsessed with The Greeting Farm stamps they are what I always grab now! But I still think SU card stock is the best and use my SU DP!

This is gorgeous!!!! Wow, wow, wow!!! Maria amazing!!! I actually love how the butterfly is reminiscent of a flower! I thought you did that on purpose. I think butterflies and flowers have alot in common. Both so delicate and colorful. The accessories are amazing and I adore the layout and color combo! Terrific job!
