I'm A Gardener and Club Anya Challenge

Hi Friends!! I have exciting news to share. . . . .drum roll please. . .well I was chosen to be part of the Greeting Farm's new Spring Gardener Team!! Whoohoo! I didn't expect to be chosen but I was hoping I would. You sometimes get chosen for these DT when you least expect it!! I'm really excited to get started!! What is a Gardener? Basically, I'll be a design team member for 3 months from April to June. Check out the other new designers on the team. If you haven't seen the Greeting Farm stamps and digital images. . .well, stop by their online store and you will, and I mean you will, fall in love and want to buy them all!!

Now to my card. . .this is my card submission for the Club Anya Sketch Challenge. Okay. . . I didn't start off creating this card for the challenge. I drew the picnic blanket and the tree and I thought, hey. . .it kinda can pass for the challenge. You have to sort of imagine the blanket is the half circle on the bottom of the sketch. Check out the sketch and tell me if my card follows the sketch.

Okay, do you see it now? I think it fits the sketch in a creative way. LOL! You do have to use your imagination to see it but I will submit it anyway.

I colored Anya with my Copic Markers. . .someone asked what color I used for the hair on my first Anya card a few days ago. I can't remember who it was so I'll post it here. . .for this card, I used Y19, Y35. Y39, YR15 and YR24. Sort of a mix of yellow, orange and brown.

Initially I was going to draw a small paved path with trees in the background but I didn't have enough white space to draw the scenery so I decided to draw a tree and picnic blanket to give the appearance that Anya was at the park.

My drawing of the background was sort of a last minute idea. I didn't even think that tree would fit but it worked out in the end.

I dressed up the inside too! Just something simple.

Well, I cannot express how happy I am to be part of the Greeting Farm design team. My stint with them will start in April but you'll be seeing more cards using their stamps from now on because I bought a bunch of them recently! Yay!!
