The Cafe Corner Book Club
Hi Friends!! I just wanted to let you know that I finally got my book club blog site and group forum started. My book club blog site name is "the Cafe Corner Book Club". Do you like the name? When I was living in Hawaii, oh my gosh, my favorite hang out spot was Starbucks and Borders Book Store. Me and my friends would meet there regularly then afterwards, go somewhere to eat lunch. I don't know. . .it was our "girlfriend time" together. I really miss it. That's why I named the blog "the Cafe Corner. . .", it seems appropriate, don't you think?
Anyway. . .I would love for you to join my book club. I have a few members already but would love for you to join. The more the merrier!! For details of the book club, click here.

Visit the Cafe Corner Group Forum: Click Here
You can join and see if you like it. There's no obligation or commitment. If you don't think you want to stick around. . .well, there's no obligation so try it out for a month or two!!
Our first book for May will be:
The Host
Stephenie Meyer (Website)
Published 2008
617 pages
Science-Fiction
Summary (from the book jacket)
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.
Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.
Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

Have fun with this! As someone who has read this book and loved it (even more than the Twilight series) I wanted to give you a tip...the first 100 pages or so can be a little slow but don't give up it's worth it!
