Stampin Up Fifth Avenue Floral

Hiya Friends!! Look. . .I created a card using a Stampin Up stamp! That's a cause for celebration! Why? Because I haven't been using my Stampin Up stamps often these days. Just too many stamps to use. . .but my goal is to use my Stampin Up stamps at least once or twice a week!

I think the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set is the only one in the new catalog that I felt I MUST have. I love this set and can't wait to use it on my projects. Hey, if you want to buy it from my SU online website, you can shop online: Click Here

I know. . .I'm sorry for pitching a sale but other than two or three people buying from my online website each month, I'm debating whether it's worth paying for. I'm also hobby status right now and no longer have regular customers. . .I think I may need to give up being a demonstrator.

I don't want to give it up because I may find time to be active again but at the same time, I can't be meeting my $300 quota each quarter on my own. Anyway, if you need something from SU and you don't have a regular demonstrator. . .help me out for the time being until I can return to active status. LOL!

Gosh, I've been busy for the past few days. Something is always coming up. It's those unplanned things that sort of get in the way.

Yesterday my husband and I decided to hang out at the casino resort near our home. It's called "the Pechanga Resort and Casino". I only lost a $100 . . "only"? LOL! Yeah I know, any money lost is bad but actually, I've lost more than that in the past when we we're in Vegas. I'm much smarter now. . .I don't continue if I'm at my "$100 loss threshold"

When I mean a $100 loss, I mean money that I had actually put in to those dumb slot machines. It's not including all the money I actually won and fed back into the machine! At one point, I was ahead by $200 but my greediness had me glued to the chair feeding the machines until I lost my own money. Arggh! If I was smart I should have walked away when I gained $200 but I wanted to win the progressive. Dumb? Yeah, I am but I'd like to think that maybe, I'll win the progressive. . .or anything more than just $10 at a time.

Anyway, I better start discussing my card. . .LOL! I can chat about anything, lemme' tell yah. Thank goodness for Facebook. Lot's of nonsense talk going on there! LOL!

I colored my images with Copic Marker, cut them out and layered them. I decided to use a non-SU designer paper because I still had a bit of scrap of desinger paper from the project I made on my last post. I then added a bit of Stickles. . .that's about it!

Are you hating all my bright yellow and orange cards? Too much brightness for you. . like "whoa"! LOL! I don't know what is going on with me but I've been wanting to use all these bright colors . . .typically, I don't like them but lately they've been calling me. . ."Maria, Maria. . . "

Anyway, hope you all have a fantastic day. I'll see if I can visit your blogs some time today!!

Stamp set: SU Fifth Evenue Floral

Wow Maria! This is so pretty! I love your bright colors and I'm a big fan of orange lately!!! Very elegant card, and I LOVE the sentiment!

Funny you said something about visiting your SU website... I was just on there!!!

I have the same issue with CTMH. I manage to barely meet my quota each quarter, and I did cancel my website, but I'm thinking about letting it go. I buy so many of my stamps from other companies... but I'll hold out atleast this next quarter. SO if you ever need any CTMH, let me know! LOL.

Maria I love this card and I have to agree, it is the one set in this book that I do have to have. Well there is one other set, but I too have sooo many stamps that I havent had time either to use my stamp'n up ones other that sentiments, I do use them alot...lol

I do love your card, you did a Beautiful job on it and love the coloring with the copics!!! They are my favorite now :)

dont feel bad about loosing 100.00 at least you got to have fun. Sheesh if I want to go to a casino I have to drive hours, so we dont go. when we lived in california we were only maybe 2 - 3 hours away. we would go once in awhile. Anyways would love to go on a mini vacation to the casino for the day...LOL

Well hope you have a wonderful weekend!! And you did an AWESOME job on this!!!!

Hugs,
Cheryl

This is GORGEOUS Maria! I hear you about not using SU stamps often...same story here! Same story also with the demoship! I had to let it go because I just couldn't do the $300 quarterly myself either! Now I wish I had some moolah left over to buy that set! It's gorgeous and I need to do florals once in a while. Maybe I shouldn't get rid of some of my floral stamps I'm selling on my blog.

BTW...hopefully soon I come across some cash and we can meet up and head out to Pechanga! ;) Double our loss...lol!

Maria - super fun card...so I am watching twilight right now - hadn't read the book wasn't really interested in it but I am actually enjoying it.

I love all the colors in your card. You truly have talent.

I think I will place an order for SU through you...I need a few things. I was a demo but quit for the same reasons you are considering it. Mostly hobby...
Have a great sunday

Thud. That's me falling on the floor. Absolutely stunning, Maria. Hmmm, so you lost $100. At least you had some fun. I once took $10 into a casino and after losing $5, I just could do it any more--LOL. Hope your sales pick up. I'd help out, but I'm in a Stampers 12 group already.

Maria, Your card is beautiful. I love the bright colors and how you layered the flowers. Fantastic work. I am with you on SU! The economy has really hurt my business too and I am considering letting it go. I am just hoping things will get better.

How pretty!! Yes, I've noticed all the none-SU! creations you've been making... break loose, sister... break loose!!! LOL... You have talent that can go to ALL stamp companies out there. Love your coloring skills, and cutting each image must've been very therapeutic.

Oh my freakin' goodness Maria...this card is GORGEOUS...wowzers girl! I love the colours and that stamp is so pretty! I have wanted it but was intimidated to colour it in...you have done is beautifully though!!!
I totally understand your debate about your SU status. In Canada I need to spend $400 each quarter and it can be difficult to meet minimums. I'm glad you pulled out your SU! stamps though!

Oh my word Maria!!! I can not believe this is 5th Avenue Floral!!!

I love what you did with it I have never seen it used as a rose yet and your coloring amazing!!!!

I could not stay active without my Monthly Stampers club as I rarely do in home workshops!!! I did a ton when I started out and then I had Tucker and only kept up with my monthly club and now I need to get started back into workshops for some extra stamp moolaa!!! I love that I can use my SU income on other stamps that part is nice but with club and end of the month income I rarely make more than $100 - $200 without doing workshops on top of club!!!
